Yeah, the New England Flops did just fine in February from what I remember.

They made to the Superbowl, now didn’t they. I’d be quite happy if the FLOPS, New Englands albatross franchise, made it to the WS.
Wouldn’t you?

You're forgetting all those years where the Sox were in the playoffs competing for a WS ring and winning one with some regularity.

You mean before all those last place and non competitive years? You were shown the record of success the Patriots dynasty had. Did the Flops have a similar period of dominance?

Yes or no.

Can't you go and torture Pats' fan on their board.

If I started posting there there would be no reason to criticize that franchise. They are well run and have an owner who prioritizes winning over his wallet-unlike the Flops franchise.

What do those teams have to do with the Pats now? What do those teams have to do with Fred being down on the Sox for having a few down years (just like the Pats did)?

ok, then, if you want to go down that road.... what do the 2022 thru 2025 teams have to do with the 2026 team?? you were the one cherry picking years to bash a team. and to be clear, i'm not defending Fred or his Red Sox bashing.

The FLOPS franchise rightfully deserves criticism when compared with a successful franchise like the Patriots.

The NE Patriots have had 66 seasons as a franchise. They have made the playoffs 28 of those seasons (42.4%) and have won 6 championships (9%).

The Boston Red FLOPS have had 126 seasons and have made the playoffs 26 times (20.6%) and have won 9 rings (7%).

Its easy to see which franchise prioritizes winning over the owner's pocketbook.

The Red Sox have won more WS titles since 2000 than any other org.

Kind of seems like you are. It's fine if you want to. He needs all the help he can get since people typically dogpile him.

In 1986, 4 MLB teams made the playoffs. When the Pats went to the SB for the 1st time, 10 teams made the playoffs. It is way easier to make the playoffs in the NFL. You can't compare the two leagues with playoff appearances.

Yeah, and the Patriots have won more Superbowls than any other team since 2000. They are in fact tied with the Steelers for most Superbowl wins ever. They make the playoffs more often by percentage and have won more championships by percentage. I haven't checked to see how often the Patriots have finished in last place like the FLOPS did for several years but I doubt it was as often.

Lets not lose sight of the fact that the bottom line is this: the Patriots owners spend to win. The FLOPS owners do not, at least not as a percentage of revenue compared to other teams.

Of course I can! I just did! In order to win a ring you must first make the playoffs. Last place finishes or one and dones with regularity is simply unacceptable for a big market team.

you make good comments on occasion, but your constant bashing of the flops (especially Ceddanne) gets old. i know i bash them too, but you're non-stop. i'd almost bet money that you're a yankees fan that's just here to troll. now.....bash me all you want. you couldn't hurt my feelings if you tried.

My objection is you making it personal. That has no place here. If you don't like my comments, don't read them-or refute them. I really don't care-and I don't care if my position on certain issues is not popular.

I will never start a personal vendetta here, but I do feel free to defend myself in a like manner if others start one.

And by the way, my comments here are fair and balanced. If someone does a good job I comment on that too. Some here are bashing Anthony but I am more positive on him than almost anyone here-I think he will be fine. Story, not so much. And Rafaela has lots of room for improvement despite his overall excellent year.

Pats are middle of the road in cap space and really hard to compare the two leagues in that respect too.

Did Drake "Interception Interception" Maye throw 3 Interceptions at the end of the game last night or no? New England Flops are right no schedule it seems.

Yup. The Patriots lost to the Superbowl champs on their home turf-barely-right after the FLOPS lost to the worst team in the league at Fenway. No shame in losing a tight game to a better team on their home turf, now is there. How about losing the the 100 loss to be Angels, losing two of three games to them. Proud of that feat?

Pats have already lost 6% of their season. The Sox losing 2 to the Angels is just 1% of the season and they are already resting up for the playoffs. Not a big deal.

Neither is losing their first game to a better team (CHAMPIONSHIP team) on their home turf. They still have 16 games left. I expect that they will again make the playoffs but expecting them to be in the superbowl a second year in a row isn’t reasonable. The Flops on the other hand aren’t competitive for a ring this year and haven’t been for several years. Not a well run franchise. Their owner is cheap and their GM isn’t very good at what he does.
