Chapman and Whitlock ready to go, if needed.

Looking good.

36 pitches between Chapman, Whitlock and Slaten over the past 5 days.

An amazing turn of events in concert with the W-L record since 6/24.

Credit to Bello for figuring it out and Sox mgt using him correctly.

The true sign of genius is having something that doesn't work and seem completely random, and just going with it.  In Hollywood, some legendary scenes are lines that simply went awry, but worked perfectly.  And a director confident enough to go with something that was planned to begin with.

If the Dodgers lose today, which it appears they will, the Sox will have the best road record in MLB. 35-22.

Final: Cubs 7 Dodgers 6.

“You’re gonna need a bigger boat.”

”I’m walkin’ here!”

This entire run is like Breslow got a gift from the baseball gods after being dumped on by the same baseball gods. Now everything he touches is turning to gold and every move the Sox have made has paid off. This is such a stunning turnaround. It's not just baffling, but completely out of left field. Go Sox! Great to enjoy games again.

That's why I'm an accountant.  I'd have yelled at the cab driver, re-shot the scene, and patted myself on the back for providing leadership.

Yes, and the Cubs went nutty at the deadline, too.

This was a great TDL by the Cubs.  They picked up 5 SPs, their entire rotation, in a matter of a couple of weeks.

Some of these articles are written by people that know nothing about baseball.  The crown (same as in the off-season) goes to the team that picked up the most guys, or the shiniest toys.  If Mil had traded their top four prospects for Skubal, they'd have gotten an A.

Ladies night at the mic tonight.

Sorry NESN, need to turn the audio off.

The voices are not broadcast quality and makes me think it is the WNBA

I rarely watch with the sound on.  The RS announcers are usually good, but if I catch the wrong feed, some other announcers just never shut up.  Let the game explain itself.  Or provide a little statcast data.  Don't drone on about players thinking this and that, or trying to peak into their brains.

The Red Sox pitching development program which was non-existent previously,  and the addition of Contreras  and now Durbin make me much happier Breslow than last year.

Now the task includes the further development of Anthony and eventual introduction of Arias. plus cleaning out the Yoshida and Story contracts this winter

Maybe NESN can have comedy night at the mic in the future with Denis Leary and Bill Burr in the booth.

I admit I was ready to throttle Breslow.

They have become my most hated team. Not too worried about the Yankees anymore.
