It's not earth-shattering given expectations heading into the season, but the Sox are now in fourth place and only half a game out of third.

How long can Seigler keep this up? (I hope for 3 more months or more!)

Tracy has Yoshida 5th and Duran 7th. (How far Duran has sunk!)

The bottom 5 are all under .700, the bottom 4 under .665, the bottom 3 under .625 and the bottom 2 under .530.

Maybe being low in the order will help Duran relax a little.

His issues often seem self inflicted or mental/emotional, but it's hard to know the reason or reasons.

He was a great offensive weapon 2 years ago, and still pretty damn good just last year. He's not past prime, so I do still see some hope for a rebound.

I also think Masa can hit over .750 or even .780 going forward. (Not a prediction.)

I wish I could feel some optimism towards Narvaez, but he looks totally lost at the plate. Good thing Wong is doing what Narvaez did last year. Hoping for returning IL players seems like a lost cause for Sox fans, but Anthony, Mayer, Story and maybe even IKF could add a spark or two. More likely, we are stick hoping for Seigler, Monasterio and Cheng to do "just good enough," and others with better histories to pull up the slack.

I'm still waiting for Abreu to have a career year. I'm not sure how long Rafaela can keep improving, and 34 year old Contreras can keep up the Dwight Evans late career boom.

Hope seems to be all we have.

We are liking what we are seeing with the Red Sox(finally). They are hitting enough to win, and sitting at second in the league with runs allowed 2 behind Seattle with 353 , Sox now at +12 in runs scored, need to see that number continue to rise.

Duran has an OPS of 1.371 in his last 3 games. 😃

Maybe if I question him again as I did last night, he can keep it up, SO once again:   WTF is Duran doing as a regular starter?  He's good great speed, but he's an average fielder at best, and he's hitting ,190.

(Ok.  We'll wait for results)

.020 from 16th

.030 from 12th

.040 from T6th

________________

Seigler may be sore for awhile, if not injured.

Abreu's been non-productive, even with Contreras batting behind him.

As has been said, Abreu is a good piece to have. Just not a star level hitter

There is always Marcelo Mayer and Roman Anthony.

Anthony will be fine if he can stay on the field. A little too early to completely give up on Mayer.

Ill pick on IKF

Sox get on a run , confusing the buy-sell debates. and promptly injure the right side of the infield. Hopefully just bruises but the X-ray will tell all

Sell. They have a 23% chance of making the playoffs according to Fangraphs.

Can't believe that Navarez used up a challenge on the first pitch of the game. That is just plain stupid.

The first pitch.  Honest to god, what a stupid attempt.
