Not sure why Eaton wasn't up before now.   He was one of the best players we had in the last month last year.  And he had to wait 3 months for the team to bring him up.  Durbin stinks.  Use him at 3rd.

Durbin is hot now. Can't bench him now. Eaton can play instead of Duran.

Durbin's been the Sox best hitter over the last month.

Sonny Gray has been a great addition and should be on the All-Star team. Have to give Breslow credit for getting him.

Aaron Ashby leads MLB in wins with 10. If Sonny gets the win tonight he'll be tied for 2nd with 9.

Bingo!

I like Seigler too.  Not sure why Rafaela and Abreu were calling him off on those pop ups.  Rafaela called off both Seigler and Montesario and then dropped the ball (for an Edouble).

Another excellent performance by Sonny tonight.

Sonny has earned his 9 wins with the supporting cast he has.

Gray with 9 wins means the other 8 starters combined have about 23 total. Not all their fault

Since the '24 season, Sonny has a W/L record of 36-18, including tonight's game. Having a 9-1 record on this team is beyond amazing.

Sonny may be the most wanted available starter going into the TDL. I'm sure the Dodgers are sniffing around.

Just be sure the Sox FO staples Masa to Sonny in the trade.

That would be great leverage and a good move

Just discovered that Ashby is a relief pitcher. WTF

Pitching and defense have been strong on this team. When was the last time we could say that?

I agree.  We brought in AAAA free agents when we had plenty of them tucked away.  Eaton should have been there day 1.

I wanted Eaton there on Opening Day. Just seems to always get the job done.

Suarez is doing great, too!

Contreras might be the best bat to change teams, this past winter.

3 major moves that look great on paper, but we still fell woefully short of what was needed to be competitive in the worst league in many seasons.

So, do we all agree, he's at least a "number two?"

8.6 fWAR since 2024 (16th in MLB)

1.2 fWAR in 2026 seems a bit low but still ranks 52nd among SP'ers with 70+ IP.

You did. I wasn't so sure, but let's see if Tracy keeps playing him.

I’ve liked Eaton for sometime now.  I’ll never really understand why this organization does some of the things they do.  They brought in two utility players that they really didn’t need.

Feels like a good fit with speed, defensive versatility, and an ability to hit right handed

Dalton Rushing for Sonny Gray!!

Eaton’s is a good player to have on the bench for all those reasons, plus that cannon he throws with.  Not a guy to be counted on for bulk duty, however…

When they brought in Tracy to manage, the message was clear - we need to help our younger players acclimate.  If the priority was winning games, the Sox would have hired an experienced Joe Girardi type or someone with MLB experience.  But instead the Sox opted for a guy the younger players mostly know and are comfortable with.

So if it was never about winning, why not see what Siegler has? Eaton is already a known commodity.  Why not see if Gasper can catch? (He can’t.  Please stop.)

Seems like the Sox ran up that white flag a while ago and are now hoping it doubles as a sail…

the dodgers have two top prospects, Josue De Paula (OF) and Zyhir Hope (OF), if Gray waives his no trade either one would be a great trade

I have my doubts either outfielder is available for a rental player.

The ceiling is probably Jackson Ferriss or Zach Root.  But it wouldn’t surprise me if Tibbs was back on the table…

Im not so sure.  I think Breslow is trying to firm up his grasp and consolidate power and axed his rumored successor while he still could.
