So because of the designation of the league they play in?  I dont think I buy that is always a true indication of the talent within.  Also, I think things have been flipped on their head recently and history has to be thrown out the window here.  It use to be stupid to go to NCAA vs minors leagues because minors leagues paid and NCAA did not.  Its not that world anymore.  Skenes was 21 in NCAA. fully developed body.  Do you think the guys facing him in NCAA were overmatched by AA pitchers who were 19 and still filling out upper body?

this is why i tell you to adopt sr basset hounds, they dont really jump.  Although, my basset hound hadnt jumped in 3 yrs, and i thought she just didnt have it anymore....and then she stole a full steak that was resting on the counter and i was like "have you been kaiser sosa'ing me for years"

I hate Stairway To Heaven, so that's a good thing.

Is it at all possible that Roman is the next Casas? Injury wise that is. He's off to a good start.

Also agree on stairway to heaven, not my favorite… Many cerebral music listeners will say stairway to Heaven has genius Architecture. Although admittedly I also hate Bob Dylan, so I’m probably not the go to on music.

 

I think it’s unfair for us to compare Roman to Casas for sure, but I understand the concern and it’s the way in which he gets injured, and is out for a long periods of time. It definitely is valid to have the thought, I’m not sure………  I’ll tell you this….. one more practice swing, or check swing six month injury and I’ll concede that Roman is Casas 2.0.

According to MLB.com....

Anthony- Could start Minor League rehab assignment as soon as next week. 

Story- A rehab assignment could be close.

Crochet- Crochet continues to throw at a distance of 50 to 60 feet, but is increasing volume.

Whitlock- Will travel with the team to Pittsburgh and will be monitored when the team returns to Boston. 

No recent updates on other.

Btw, I hated that song the first time I heard it.

But anyone who grew up in the Seventies hating on it must have never stayed up until midnight, because one popular FM station played it every single night at 11:50 PM -- and that's how we knew what time it was, no matter where we were...

Led Zeppelin IV was always the most overplayed, but true fans know that one of the greatest studio albums of all time is still Led Zeppelin II (and moon, I love Physical Graffiti and "Ten Years Gone").

Do you think guys facing Skenes were overwhelmed by the rest of the LSU pitching staff?  The quality of the league is carried by the floor, not the ceiling.

The argument for the overall quality of college baseball does not and cannot rest on a few alumni.  Yes, there will be good pitchers fast tracking to MLB in college.  Good hitters, too, like Wyatt Langford and Nolan Schanuel, both of whom basically skipped the minors.  But while everyone in AA will not play in MLB, everyone in college won’t even come close to AA…

As much as I love Led Zeppelin and the untitled fourth album, Led Zeppelin II really was the superior studio album IMO.  But this debate has been hotly contested for decades.  (Edit: I misread.  Apparently we agree on the studio merits of Ramble On and Livin’ Lovin’ Maid.)

But what has not been hotly contested for decades is that neither is the greatest studio album of all time, an honor that goes to Who’s Next by The Who, and this fact has been proven time and time again by science…

I feel that way about Money for Nothing as not only my least favorite Dire Straits song, but one of the most overrated and utterly horrific rock songs of all time.  I consider it proof that aliens walk among us, and they had a clear stranglehold on the brain of Mark Knopfler for the bulk of the Brothers in Arms album.
