The last two games the Sox have jumped out to 4-0 and 3-0 leads and IMMEDIATELY let both opponents right back in it.  Can we go 3 nights in a row?

I can't believe he hit Hamilton with the bases loaded. This team can't do anything right. They can't hold a lead. Their best pitcher is going to blow a 3-0 lead in the 7th. Cora waited too long to take him out but what are his options? Kelly? Pleeeeeease! I can see it being 4-3 Brewers after this is over.

An outstanding win vs a really good picture who unraveled a bit .   Take that one and if possible, grab the next for a series win.

We were actually outhit and still scored more runs.

We even stayed under the over/under on 12 Ks.

We drew 5 BBs.

Whitlock & Chapman back to form.

Durbin's two RBI this season haven't been on scalding hit balls, but balls just put in play. Simply cutting down on k's and moving runners along will score runs.

Regarding the BP, I only have trust in Whitlock and Chapman.

It seems Slaten has fallen far and fallen fast…

You trust Chapman?  Last year, definitely.  This year a crap shoot.

Top 3 percentile hard hit. Top 9 percentile k rate. 0.00 ERA. 2.54 xERA.

Crochet showed a ton of guts last night because he didn't have his best stuff and because the Sox defense was yet again problematilcal.

It's possible the cold weather has been an issue even though it affects both teams.

The Sox had 3 freaking hits last night, no dingers, and won 3-2.

Cora's one mistake was not starting Yoshida.

Remember the Mendoza line?  Last night Duran, Story, Mayer, Durbin, and Kiner-Falefa were all below it.

Is that what it's called when you give up one run in 5 innings?

I'm not sure there's been a start where Crochet has had his best stuff this year.

If they didn't start Story, they lose the game. Maybe even IKF with his good defense at 3B. Cora made the right call and pinch hit Durbin. Sometimes it works out.

It was going to be a high K game and going with Anthony/Story/Mayer/Duran was going to really put some zeros on the board early.

Maybe the demotion from the 2 slot, lit a fire under Story.

He looked surprised on second after his game-winning double -- not because he hit it, but probably because he got an 0-2 meatball instead of a sweeper in the dirt.

Good for Story; he didn't miss it or foul it back or pop it up trying to kill it. He did what a pro is supposed to do. Set an example for younger players to play to their strengths...

... like Milwaukee convincing Hamilton to use his speed to contribute on offense -- and not try to pull balls in the air and whiff: Fatse, Driveline and analyticals not good enough to make the majors.
