Notin might like this one, but one site suggested Duran to LAD for Kim and Rushing.

The Sox could use Rushing, or flip him more easily than Duran since he makes no money and has more control.

Hyeseoung Kim didnt do much for me.  Guess basically a step down from Hamilton.

Now Ha-Seoung Kim works for me..

Or Matz 1/5

I was thinking more in line of the first big FA to sign anywhere.

Michael King back to SD for maybe 3yrs $70 millj

The article I read seemed to think Kim is due for a significant uptick, but I'm not for another dice roll for 2B.

That's not insane money or years, but I'm kinda glad we are not signing another large injury risk SP'er.

That being said, the one "durable" guy we signed, Gio, missed half of his 2 year deal.

Does bres-slow call Miami about alcanterra this offseason?

Does he need another 5th starter?

My top 3 sleeper picks to take a leap in the rankings:

Marcus Phillips - hits 100 MPH, I'd love to see what the Sox can get cooking with him in his first full season. He could be next years Payton Tolle.  Low usage in college, get him into a pro system and watch him shoot up our rankings and get on the national radar.

Sadbiel Delzine - only 17 years old, and will get his first season of stateside pro ball next year so more eyes will be on him and if the talent is there he could really fire up the rankings

Brandon Neely - another pitcher to round out the list. Neely was our 3rd round pick last year right after Payton Tolle and before Brandon Clarke.  received $700K in bonus money which is the most the Sox had spent on a pitcher in the draft since 2017, other than Tolle who they drafted just a day earlier.  He was hurt and has yet to pitch, but we will see him next year.  He's someone who could really shoot up the rankings sitting all the way down at #46.

I'm not the biggest guy on the Sandy Alcantara boat, but that statcast page is very misleading.

I'd love to know how much red we'd see over blue if we saw the second half of his season.

If you like Brandon Neely, you should see the ridiculous clip of him getting tossed from game at UF.

Hard to really know what to think about Neely and Phillips yet as we haven't seen them (AFL doesn't count). Phillips seems to be a high variance guy. Neely could just be a reliever. I like both of them though.

Also, it's very hard to project bumps for DSL pitchers heading stateside, so I was staying away from those guys (see: Dalvinson Reyes '24 vs '25).

Well those are the exact types of things that make them sleeper picks.  No one has seen Neely yet, he could be dude and not really move up at all, but if he looks like he's close to being a guy he could shoot up really quick in the rankings.

I hope not, but I think there is a significant chance we make that deal.

You don't like 959 OPS vs LHP I guess?

I recall a certain poster who was not so high on Ref a couple years ago- or so.

I can write those same words about Hamilton, and be just as (in)accurate…

This falls into the “why not just go with Early instead?” category…

I'm not for acquiring Kim to be our next 2Bman.
