The Sox worst obstacle is their own starting pitching. I give them credit for attempting to make a game of this.

Couple of weeks ago was the offense, then the BP and now the SP. What’s next?

The sad fact is a team can't contend with four #5 starters. The BP hasn't been a problem for quite awhile.

He had a gut feeling, which really hasn't worked since 2018.

That’s the kind of questions Breslow should be asking Cora? And if that were the answer he should be gone tomo. It’s unacceptable.

JH loves Cora. Brez has no say in the matter.

Actually, calling Ferris and Gio #5's is being extremely kind.

Why does Campbell stand at the plate like a useless twit not recognizing any pitch ? He is regressing to the point he could just not leave the dugout, or I and any other people on TalkSox could generate the same stare and walk back.  He is screwed in the head

Simply not acceptable pitching.   This game was literally  over in the 2nd inning  but the guys played out the final 21 outs and scored some runs.

The Bullpen held the Yankees to 2 runs over 7 innings, while Buehler could not compete, especially with 2 outs, 2 strikes.

If there were any doubt today is safe to say that Campbell is officially and absolutely lost at the plate — yet Cora PH for Abreu against RHP. Simply unbelievable.

Man you have to do obvious. Do yourself a favor and SIT Story and Campbell for a while if you want to win games.

Aside from Buehler's inability to do anything competitive, he burns up the BP in front of a series that has big meaning to Red Sox fans.   Now they need to finish the next 2 games  and head off to a tough 20 day stretch against competitive teams.  Season will turn on this next set of series.

176 SO with RISP thus far? LOL

Not sure what else they need to see to fire the hitting coach. Epic choke!!

There is all the possibility of a less than 78 win season, and a huge sellout at the deadline in late July, while we rebuild with yet more cheap prospects  whose upside is UNLIMITED until they actually show up.   Meanwhile Anthony can't find a seat on the pine bench .

Lot of trash being thrown at Cora, how about Bailey's prep of these starters ?    BP looks very good for a stretch but the incapables found by Breslow are not doing their part.

How bout firing the overrated pitching coach?

The BP hasn’t been that bad and in all fairness Buehrle and Giolito aren't fixable, they simply suck. Old monkeys don’t learn new tricks. Also Fitts and Dobbins have stepped up very nice.

The bad thing is that this BP will be burned out by August and maybe earlier.

By August it won't matter. I'm hoping by August Cora will allow Mayer to face lefties.

There must be a reason why Abreu came out of the game. Maybe an injury .  Pinch hitting Campbell there made no sense.

Abreu sucks vs lefties. Even if they figured a pitching change, KC is likely better vs a RHP than Abreu vs the LHP.

That's one reason to trade Abreu over Duran, although Duran is borderline platoon, as well.

He's not screwed in the head, he is getting screwed in the head. Its time for players to play for themselves because those that are in charge of them are not taking care of them. Sure they pay them lip service and maybe even think they care but their actions speak louder.

This team blows. Season already done in early June. I still feel though they should have a better record than this garbage they have put up.

Pythagorean record also agrees and shows their record should be 34-31. Which would still have them 4th in the division though.
