That was very nice.

Overall, our D is way better.

I think sometimes we over look the improvement in our defense this year.
injuries can still bite us, but the depth feels better this year!
we had 102 errors last year, I think! I am hopeful we slice a significant portion of those errors out of 2025!

If he is, he'll be the biggest steal since the beginning  of long term expensive contracts.

Does anybody wish we kept Bogey and not got that comp pick?

I mentioned it a few times over the winter, but yes.  D is often overlooked, unless it sucks.

Wow   The Os tv announcers have to be the worst in the league!  Do they know there is a baseball game going on?

Whenever the Sox play the Orioles it's blocked out on MLB Extra Innings so I watch the local telecast.  With every single hit Jim Palmer always blames the pitcher. He never gives the hitter credit, even when he hit a really good pitch.  I've been listening to it for years.

What a huge win last night was.  This is why you trade for a true ace.  I love how they extended Campbell already.  It may blow up, as Bello has so far, but worth the risk.  Keep doing this.

Pitchers have no egos. They know they're entirely in charge out there, but once in awhile their inhuman abilities are so precise that a delivery ricochets directly off the sweet spot of a chump's bat with such reciprocal force that it splits the defense and finds grass.

It's entirely unlucky when a pitch results in a hit, but that's part of this mercurial sport.

For one day, anyway.

We're guaranteed another 3-4 hours of happiness for now anyway. Today's game is an early start. Going back to Fenway winning this series would be big for the Feelings Department.

Win and we're WS contenders. Lose and 4 of the starting line ups need to be melted down for glue.

102 pitches and 8 innings hit the showers

How refreshing it was to see that type of start.  I'm so used to seeing guys who can barely get through 5 innings.

And just like that, all is well with the world again..

It doesn't take much for the world to swing from one end of the spectrum to the other, does it?

It's a long season.  We, including myself, have to remind ourselves of that.

It really doesn't. It's been particularly wild to start this season. The only thing I've really been worried about is Devers, but he's looked far better at the plate going back to the first game against the Orioles, even if he does still seem to be behind the fastball. That said, he had a nothing of a ST.

This team is going to be there or thereabouts as long as we stay healthy.

Yes, Devers has looked a lot better, as has the offense overall.  I feel good about this team.  Then again, I usually feel good about our teams.  LOL
