I hope I'm wrong but our hitting appears more suited at home than on the road.

Bregman doesn't possess enough power. I think he'll be great in Boston.

Story is simply not a good hitter. He chases too many bad pitches.

Casas is too analytical. I just wished he just go up there and swing.

Quite honestly, I rather watch Mayer struggle than Story. He'll be a better player.

I rather see Anthony in the lineup. I think there's enough bat for Duran, Rafael, Abreu and Anthony.  Ref can occasionally fill in at DH for Devers.

Pumped and jacked.

Finally back to AL East baseball.

Wilyer getting the day off. I haven't heard anything else about the lineup.

Good luck to Brockton's own Sean Newcomb!

Starting with '21 in COL, Story's chase rate has been above 30%. Prior to that, it was about league average. Bad signing by Bloom. Still hoping he can turn it around. It took him a little while in '22 to get going.

Not worried about Bregman. He doesn't have big power, but doesn't need to.

Agree about Casas. He'd rather go down looking at strike 3 and pat himself on the back for being right about a call than protecting the plate.

Casas takes to many mental swings.

"Agree about Casas. He'd rather go down looking at strike 3 and pat himself on the back for being right about a call than protecting the plate."   I can't say any better than this!!!!

I'm trying not to let my dislike of Casas cloud my judgements on him. Everything from the way he plays, acts, and talks annoys me. Incessantly.

I can't even pinpoint why.

I like Casas and is personality. I just want him to stop having so many backwards k's.

I think I'd put Campbell up 5th and Story 6th, but no biggie.

As expected, Refsnyder is in the line-up vs the lefty. Talk of giving Abreu a chance vs LH'd SP'ers was just that- talk.

I do wonder how long we keep Devers up 2nd, and going against a lefty, today might have been a good day to move him to 6th. Now, watch him go 3 for 4.

Gotta win these division games. They count just as much in April as in September.

I would not put to much into the Fact that Ref Man is in the lineup today, and get his 1st AB of the season. Most likely he’ll play more than not against LHP, but that doesn’t mean Abreu won’t see some AB against LHP either.

Story is a decent hitter vs LHP. I'd still give him a chance at 5 vs LHP. I also would still keep Campbell lower in the lineup for a few more weeks just to ease his burden.

There is a question on if they should have swapped Refsnyder for Devers instead of Abreu.

The Red Sox should be able to hit this LHP today. He’s far from a Dave McNally, or what they faced in Texas.

He struggled last season (see below), but is young and looked good in ST.

It’s very frustrating that the MLB and MASN both make it so damn hard to watch Orioles and Nationals games in Maryland. It’s blacked out on MLB TV and I don’t have cable (YouTube TV) so my only option to watch the games is VPN or illegal streaming.

They continue to be great at not knowing how to grow the game.

I just don’t get it. Every other local team and league makes it incredibly easy for me to watch them. Wizards and Capitals have free apps to watch the games and are on YouTube tv. Commanders and Ravens do same thing. UMD Basketball, football, even field hockey and lacrosse or other obscure sports? No problems.

God forbid the MLB let us watch the teams in the state I live in.
