It’s just as easy to come up with 171.5 million reasons to NOT go to Detroit…

I know you live in the Norris Division zone, so I guess I'll take your word for that LOL

IMHO we should not be counting on Bregman opting out.  If he was strictly interested in the biggest payday, he had 171.5 million reasons to sign with Detroit.  And he'll be another year older after 2025.

That was about $28.5M x 6. If he has a good year, he can get $28.5M x 5, this winter and end up plus.

He might get the same $171M/6 offer,  next winter.

Can't believe he's almost 34.

Why? Older brother Klay was drafted in 2011 and just turned 35…

Some of us don’t use the NHL for geography references…

Might not, too.

Chris Berman used it for the NFL.  I thought it was humorous.

This loss is on Cora, for taking Bregman out of the game and using Fogell!

🙃

Funny.

I was hoping Fogel would make the 26! LMAO.

Our offense has been criticized, some this winter, and rightfully so in most cases, but we have a lot of potential, and much is not speculative, as we just need a few guys to have seasons like they already have had- some in the last 1-2 seasons, like Yoshida, Wong & Casas. Some 3-6 years ago, like Story, Grissom, Bregman and maybe like Devers in 2019 or 2022, but just repeating last year's APR to July over the full season would also be great.

Of course, Campbell, Anthony, Narvaez, Mayer and to some extent DHam, Rafaela and Abreu are speculative.

Maybe Bregman can shake off the slow start rap, this year and put up monster numbers.

You know he's amped.

Pretty good game for Bregman today. Not a very good game for whoever the hell Zachary Fogell is!

I try not to have takes on A ball relievers.

The box score shows a familiar name relieved Fogell and chased home all his inherited baserunners,

And I thought we chased Anderson out of Boston last year.

Not much to report on today's 6-1 loss. Jap Stock looked awesome... NOT!

DHam with 2 of the team's 5 hits. He also stole his 2nd base of the spring.

Why on earth would we bring back stock???  He is terrible on a good day and we all know he rarely has a good day

These types of pitchers seem to be recycled from team-to-team, and often end back with a team that already gave up on them once.

Why can’t he end up on the Yankees team???

Need to field a AAA team and every once in a while need to call up a AAAA guy to pitch for a few days before they are DFA'd.
