May as well raise this old warhorse--- Wins in April = wins Sept 25-30th. If we think this could be a backdoor playoff team, you have to win games like last night or either of the 1`-0 losses. The mood is set when you see an excellent win opportunity blow up like a kid's birthday balloon against a team that you would like to compete with. Otherwise , just watch and say, Oh well.

 

I don't think fans in general or even this site are sad at a loss as much as the process of the loss, but actually are MAD at the organization for putting a weak roster out there in a difficult division. Especially after the one idiot owner says" Full throttle" , then has to walk it back like some of our politicos.

First inning by Whitlock is interesting. Cold , damp night, tough on any pitcher. But the difference in this game is about 12". The difference between a 3 run HR and a foul, followed by a K to preserve the shutout. Whitlock has set up anpther BP noight with 30 pitches in the 1st. Maybe he can get better
