🙈🤭🤮! I have many people who would love to meet you. Let me clarify that. They would love to see you. I have two different groups of people at two different clubs who have read many of your post the last 2+ years, and they have dubbed you an Ass Clown of the biggest proportions, and would just like to see what someone looks like that’s as a biggest Ass Clown as you. You get to see one everyday when you look in the mirror. Like they have come to the conclusion as I that you are definitely a legend in your own mind, and you are like the Great, and powerful OZ after they pull the curtain back. A Big P&F. I'm not telling you what to do, except maybe read posts more closely so tht you can understand what they are saying. I'm simply expressing shock that you regard sports boards as so important that you won't meet fellow posters. (Sorry to have used subordinate clauses there.)

 

And btw, all you lesser beings out there: if you're in Maine this summer and want to catch a SeaDogs game, give me a ring. Troll or legend, I don't care, as long as (1) you're a RS fan, and (2) you're not a belligerent drunk (garden variety ones are ok), a sexist, racist, homophobe, or loud obnoxious a-hole. If you knew ALL the FACTS, and HISTORY, which you don’t you would know why post 1270 was written. The offer to meet was also TWO summers a go. Like I said an objective 3rd party I bet would see things differently.

That speculation was more than idle day dreaming. One of the more cogent arguments against Quebec separatism was that it could lead to a dissolution of the Canadian Confederation. With the Atlantic provinces being virtually forced to seek admission into the United States to maintain economic viability. I know there were serious discussions among United States think tanks about how such situation could play itself out. I think both the New York Times and Washington Post had articles about such a scenario as did the Economist, if I am not mistaken.

One of the conclusions was that Quebec would be much smaller than it is today because the first nations would not agree to remain in a French Quebec and rump French Quebec would find itself more isolated linguistically than they are today.

Having travelled to Quebec last fall, I had discussions with numerous Quebecois and found no interest in raising the separatist issue again.

Btw about those so called Canadian pacifists, I think someone forgot to tell the Canadians in the NHL.
