RHP Gray vs. LHP Sale, a complete mismatch favoring Minnesota, who are also 10-6 to the Sox 8-9.

But this, ladies and gents, is baseball, and anything can happen.

Listen, my children, and you shall hear

Of the midnight ride of Paul Revere,

On the eighteenth of April, in Seventy-Five:

Hardly a man is now alive

Who remembers that famous day and year.

But my wife does--this is our 59th.

And don't forget David Hackett Fischer's marvelous book on PR.

But can this guy Revere play 2nd base or has your wife ever considered a turn at SS ? Looking for a little help here.

Verdugo RF

Devers 3B

Turner DH

Yoshida LF

Hernandez 2B

Casas 1B

Wong C

Duran CF

Chang SS

So Wong gets the nod to catch Chris Sale. Five lefty bats with Duran in CF. Kike at 2b for Arroyo.

Thank you, Sale. A Red Sox starter who does not get his team behind in the 1st. Chris is looking pretty fair in the first

Not sure why you would say it’s a complete mismatch favoring the Twins.

Gray’s career vs. the Red Sox:

1-7 in 10 games (9 starts), 6.80 ERA

Career at Fenway:

0-4 in 6 games (5 starts), 8.02 ERA

Now, that means he’ll probably toss a no-no.

Edit - that last sentence didn’t age well.

No thanks to Yoshi that time on his routine soft bouncer to 2nd. He continues his struggle.

Ge can’t continue to hit 4th in the line up swinging like he is.

Casas gets jobbed on a close pitch that looked inside. He is very selective. The lower 6 guys in the lineup are currently miserable performers , with Duran having a chance to be the brightest bulb in that chandelier.

I know it's "EARLY", but in fact over 10% of the season has now been played. Time to get it going.

LOB's by the home team , the bane of good pitching by the home team. Sale looks amazingly improved. i'll bet anything his side session went well under Bush's tutelage

The umpire's calls vs the K-zone on screen do not match well. Must be a problem with the K-zone

Radio guys have been critical of some of the ball-strike calls tonight.

I don't understand why they're not scoring runs. Only 5 of their starters are hitting under .200. (there were six a couple of days ago, but Duran ruined that).

Never have been a fan of Hernandez. Should be a career utility player

He’s got poor control of the strike zone

Casas with 3 more Ks after a couple fouls. My thought here is that he is not showing the ability to catch up to the fast ball and hit it fair . He needs a better fast twitch trigger

Sale did just about all he could raising expectations for a a big contribution this year. At least we see he is capable of great stuff vs a decent team. Remind me, what did the Sox use ST for, because it wasn't to get the players ready close to Opening Day
