Rodon and Sevy are throwing. Rodon to throw live BP today. Will progress from there to a rehab assignment if it goes well. They need to get him up to 80 pitches before he can come to the Bronx. Likely 3 rehab starts and he’ll be ready. So maybe 25 days before we see him start. Sevy is a bit behind him. If all goes well, reinforcements will hit for May. And right now, Brito looks to be the leader for the 5 spot

Yes, that 0.00 ERA is a joke.

Your Sox reclamation projects are working, so far.

Is Brewer more or less impressive than Franchy Cordero and his 1.257 OPS, 2 HRs and 7 RBI?..

Why can't Bloom find guys like them?

He started the outing with 7 straight balls. Then went to work

So, you spoke, too soon.

Soon, you will be saying he and Cordero suck.

This bum has 3 HRs already.

A kitten could hit the ball out to right in the Bronx.

Luke Voit won a HR title there! Luke Freakin’ Voit.

The guy hit 68 HRs in 280 games as a Yankee and hit 26 in 200 games everywhere else!!

2 of his HRs were outside of NY. Just sayin...

Franchy has had light tower power forever. His issue is chase rate. Thus far, he has avoided chasing to some extent. I am sure pitchers will figure it out and start to throw pitches just off the plate going forward. It will be up to him to adjust. The one benefit he will have in NY is this lineup is deep and he will be hitting near the bottom of it. He also will avoid lefties in any big spots or in any starts. They'll put him in a good position to succeed and if he fails, he will be cut

Might the Yanks have unlocked Franchy?

Today's HR was super clutch and against a very good reliever too. Hope he keeps it up but I highly doubt it's anything more than a hot streak.

This is just the fifth time in Yankee history that the team won their first four series to open the season. They did so against two returning playoff teams and one team a year removed from winning 107 games while being down their starting CFer and 3/5 their starting rotation.

The Yanks pitching shoulc be fine, as long as injuries are not overwhelming, but their offense is no better, and they can't expect Franchy Cordero to keep taking up the slack, all season.

The Yanks have 6 guys with an OPS+ over 127, so it seems weird we've score 10 more runs with them. (We have just 3 guys over 119 OPS+, and on is out for a long time.)

It's a long season and we're only about at about 9% of the season played.

There is a long way to go.

Stanton to the IL again because he had to run out a double. Maybe he'll be back and locked in at the plate again by the ASB

Wow.

When it comes to Stanton, never say “back” and “locked” in the same sentence…

This is what you get with Stanton. We bought high on him. Too bad too

Volpe is heating up. Judge still bombing. Rizzo starting out hot. Rest of the lineup looks like hot garbage right now. We have faced two bums on the Angels and barely whimpered.

Volpe with the big 2 run dinger. Lemahieu with the walkoff. Cole looks like a CY. Just need one of Sevy/Rodon to get healthy so we can punt Schmidt out of the rotation and some of the offense to come back and we will be golden

The offense is definitely not in good shape when we have Calhoun/Franchy batting in the middle of the order. Stanton won't be back until June or later, and Bader/Donaldson coming back isn't going to add much to the lineup. I think the Yanks are just going to have to win a lot of games with pitching.

Stanton out 4-6 weeks.

Stanton is such an idiot.

This is at least the second significant injury he's gotten from doing the same thing, posing and then having to hustle.
