Yes you can blame the f'ing chUMP. Get real.

Nope. The bad calls even out usually. You should never as a ball player put yourself at the mercy of the calls by a crappy ump.

Among the several shortfalls this season, a losing record at Fenway (26-28 , before tonight) should be hard to explain . But , like tonight, not so hard. This team does not hit early in games, falls behind and struggles to put together big innings. K's/DPs are way too common

Quick stat: Pivetta throws 108 pitches for 6 innings. Kyle Wright working with 69 in bottom 6th, awaiting JDM's DP .

Notice the original post timestamp preceeded JDM's predictable outcome.

Given that the Sox were going to have to pay JD in any event, Bloom , IMO, could have moved him for at least an AA prospect at the deadline, if he had agreed to pay out the contract beyond the minimum wage. JD isn't going to be looking at any $20 million deals this off season.

A quality start by Pivetta against a very good ball club.

Wasted on one bad pitch and the inability of this lineup to respond. JDM and Devers both slumping simultaneously.

1year 5 million prove it deal

For exactly which team are we nightly showcasing Darwinzon ? Probably for the 2023 Red Sox , hoping that he magically comes around when home this winter

It seems visiting teams coming into Fenway have some interesting, capable young players. A novel concept

Why is Hernandez a MLB player?

Both Bloom, and Cora should be fired for using DHern in a Major League uniform in a Major League Game.

At one point Hernandez appeared to have some real potential. 2 more years of development and he totally regressed. Who is running the MiLB for the Sox?

If any team would be that stupid, it would be the SOX.

In a part of the schedule where the Sox needed to go 11-5 to be considered a WC contender, they are now 1-4 , on their way to 1-5, after 6 of those 16. So they can still hit the 11-5 mark, right ( mathematically) ?

Why is it that our pitchers regress? I mean OK....we really do not have a reputation for developing pitching. There is John Lester, Papelbon, Lester, Lester, Buckholz, Lester. We develop hitters and buy pitchers. We always have.

In fact now that I think about it, this might be another problem for Bloom. If he cannot reach down into the organization and have personnel there that can develop ML pitching, it hardly matters which pitching prospects he brings in now does it.

Very good. Liked how you made a very short list look longer.

Who is running the MiLB teams? I mean, you call up guys with real potential man. If this is the bar, imagine the miserable sewer we have down there.

Here's a follow up on developing hitters internally: Bogaerts (2013 era); Devers ..........................................................................................................................................................................................................etc.

Tommy Pham was not developed internally. Look what happens when you get RH power hitter in Fenway. That was nice
