Supposedly JD, Vaz, and Eovaldi.

I don't think they really bring back much in major league talent. If I were the GM I would rather parlay them into minor leaguers with a higher upside than a major leaguer with a limited upside. It's not like the sox are going anywhere this season anyway.

Most people would probably agree with you.

Tampa got Siri.

And will be DFAing Brett Phillips, a borderline corner OF with an absolute cannon for an arm…

Atlanta signs Riley to a 10 year deal.

Nothing from Hang’em Chaim yet.

Chaim Bloom comes through big time today.

IMHO

Tonight, I thought eovaldi looked the best I have seen him since his return from the injury list.

Plawecki swings a bad bat, but calls a really strong game.

Hang’em Chaim should have no trouble moving eovaldi or Martinez tomorrow.

I said this in another thread: if Bloom doesn't trade Eovaldi tomorrow, he should be fired.

JD should be moved too, but he isn't going to bring back very much. He is starting to look old, he can't play the field, and it isn't all that hard to find a DH. The Mets found Vogelbach pretty easily, a player with more plate discipline than JD Martinez.

Horrible moves so far by hang 'em chaim.....

He got a defensive-minded catcher, who bats lefty, for someone who should have been DFA'd (Diekman). Apparently, McQuire does well with pitchers and has 2 more years of team control, but is out of options.

His .646 career OPS is about 50 below Vaz's and 10 below Plawecki's.[/b

The Vaz deal may work out well, for us, but it's hard to know, right now.

The Pham deal is puzzling, even if we give up nothing.

Let's see what Nate & JD net us.

I wonder if Strahm has any value.

Reports are that he is good with his hands.

Yankee fans aren’t too hypocritical about this, as you guys pretend you didn’t cheer for David Cone…

Nice try, but any of those sexual charges against Cone were dismissed.

While your new catcher was literally caught red-handed.

And let's not pretend that you didn't cheer for Cone the year he pitched for the sox.....

Chapman is right there.

Chapman is right there.

I was a sticking to similar crimes, but, yes, Chapman certainly had his issues.

In fact, if Chapman was not so gun-happy, he would have been a Dodger. The deal had already been announced and the Dodgers backed out after (because of?) that incident…

They were both caught red-handed and both used their status and financial leverage to their legal benefit….

Wasn't 2001 the s***** unlikeable Red Sox team that everyone hated?

Are you saying that the fenway faithful are fair weather fans and didn't root for the team in 2001?

I cheered for Cone in 2001, but beyond a singular “hot parking lot” joke, I’m not calling out McGuire either.

See, that’s called consistency. Not hypocrisy…
