MLB views a deal by 3 pm and ratified by tonight as the last chance to play the full 162, per league official.

This never ending moving target for a deadline for 162 games is kinda hilarious...

"No, this is the last chance, we mean it!"

Shows that the owners really need the full schedule to be played.

Union expected to vote soon on MLB offer. Initial read: “Very promising except they want (2018) lawsuit dropped.” (MLB apparently included request for union to drop its lawsuit vs Marlins, Rays, A’s, Pirates)

The lawsuit is in regards to teams not properly spending their revenue sharing monies.

Los Angeles? Sugar coated?

Uh, USC is in the middle of South Central.

I guess it depends on if you just consider Southern California as just Santa Barbara, Orange County and San Diego?

That poster had gone to college in Orange County.

Even South Central Los Angeles (and Inglewood) have experienced some gentrification since I survived the 1992 riots while living in the relative safety of the Los Feliz neighborhood.

Los Feliz is very cool, and yeah, Orange County is no more LA than Westchester County is NYC.

Tentative agreement done.

MLBPA executive board voted 8-0 against, so I guess most of the team’s didn’t take their advice.

Wow!

Team reps voted 26-4 for it, then.

Lame. I wanted to fight about this more!

Lets sign some Free Agents.....

I want Whitlock to start because I want to watch him start on my MLB subscription. Just don't start him on Friday nights.

The lack of a full ST will make the decisions with Whitlock and Houck even trickier.

Maybe they had a better sense the owners would have given a little more.

Harm , These type of discussions usually devolve into politics , so I don't want to get involved in it. I have not been to Baltimore in years , but I have a relative who was there for a few days recently on business. He said it was in shockingly bad shape and dangerous. Based on that , I would not advise going there at this time. That's all I have.

The advice is appreciated.

There is something alluring about world-class schools of medicine, nursing and public health plopped into the middle of a much-maligned city.

Hey it’s been a while since anyone argued about Baltimore being best at anything. Sure it was corruption, poverty, and violent crime, and not, say, baseball. But you take your wins where you can get them…
