Usually a manager will tell his pitcher don't let this one batter beat you. In the case of the Astros, the manager will tell his pitcher don't let any of these 5 SOX batters beat you.

 

 

Hitting 3 grand slams in 2 consecutive games isn't supposed to happen in real life. The SOX going this deep in the PO's this season wasn't supposed to happen in real life. Well, screw real life and let's continue on with this fantasy.

I don’t want to sound cocky but sometimes you really have to believe in your chances.

 

The Boston Red Sox have all in their favor to make the WS this year at this point. Astros’ pitching is taxed and not in a very good shape, while their offense is struggling. It’s going to be likely anoooother BP day for them. Squeeze those arms. Greinke hasn't pitched in a month and a he has a bad history pitching at Fenway park, but the most important thing is that our offense is unreal right now.

 

Said that the table is served to win tonight and take a big step to the WS.

 

Who would say, this team all in the sudden is the fav to advance to the WS. Plain crazy.

When JDM is batting 6th, which he did last night, then Greinke has to worry about six Sox hitters. Renfroe, 7th, is struggling, but Vazquez is looking OK, and Arroyo is pretty good for the 9th hitter.

Renfroe is contributing tho.. making some great catches including the final putout in game three. Worked a few walks too. He'll get going.. if it's not one guy, it's another. That's the hallmark of a great team and so far this post season this team has been just that.

The production at 1st base has been excellent. Why mess with a good thing.

I would also be disinclined to mess with this lineup. Every AB is individual but these guys seem to be hitting better as a team moving the line , with more disciplined AB, taking walks that are offered. Vaz is holding up his end, the top 6 guys are alive and eating well. Arroyo's HR was welcome and Hunter is always capable of losing one. Dalbec benefitted from frequent play but has lost his batting eye. Don't disturb what is working until it doesn't.

We could trade Renfroe while his value was high or trade JD and use Renfroe as a DH and 4th OF'er.

i'm loving me some Schwarber. he is a must in there for me. i don't know what becomes of Dalbec. Still just a kid. A healthy Arroyo makes a really big difference in this lineup. Hernandez can stay in center where we need him and second base is taken care of. oh by the way yup, I would do would i could do to sign Schwarber as well. He just seems to fit up here in new England.

I can’t wait for people to say to have realignment if the dodgers lose this series. Give me a damn break. Division winners should be honored. It’s rare to have two 100 win teams in the same division.
