No. That's the Pioneer League...

The Pioneer League is real baseball, not this fancy shmancy wipe the players' asses MLB.

@PeteAbe

Jackie Bradley Jr. is "definitely on our radar" according to #RedSox GM Brian O'Halloran.

Give me Jackie or give me death!

Seriously though, if both Springer and Cora are associated with this team in 2021, I'm going to have a huge internal struggle debating whether to condemn this team, or to buy cheap bleacher seat 3-4x a week to watch potential contender.

Put Beni in CF, Verdugo in RF, and sign Rosario to play LF.

Compadre, I still have hopes that they somehow sign Ozuna and Springer to join Verdugo out there lol

How are you btw bud?

If the Sox sign Springer, that means Cora has forgiven him (and maybe even some of his teammates) for making AC the scapegoat in exchange for immunity. If the manager has gotten past it and welcomes George, then fans will, too.

It will be the same if Boston signs Marisnick or someday a guy like Correa.

Or there were never any hard feelings to begin with because Cora owned up to his actions and took his punishment like an adult and did not care what happened to the others...

You don't have to worry about Springer.

Hey, how are you doing? I don't see Bloom spending big bucks, but I would love to see those 2 big bats in the lineup. I am hearing that the Mets new owner is really interested in Springer.

Vedugo is the only outfielder that is a sure thing for opening day, whether right or center field. I would like to see JBJ back but that is probably wishful thinking. I am not high at all on Beni's return to form and would look elsewhere for another outfielder. Be nice to add a right hand power bat into the mix. Ozuna could be that guy. I am not high on Rosario either, as he may already be declining defensively and while he has power, hitting at Fenway with the deep right field may not be a good fit for him.

I think we'll find in the next year or so that a lot of MLB players whose stats nosedived in 2020 will bounce back once some kind of normalcy returns to the universe. Some won't, of course, and it will be fascinating to see exactly which prescient GMs/Chief Baseball Officers discern the aberrations and anomalies in order to recruit the right players to revive teams.

Re-sign JBJ on a short term deal, and have Beni, JBJ, and Verdugo from left to right.

Focus on pitching, pitching, and more pitching.

Posted
Type in three more pitchings and I'm in.

Obviously, pitching should be the primary focus, by far. I have no clue what the Sox payroll budget looks like for this offseason, but my feeling is to go relatively cheap on CF and 2B, and use whatever resources we have on pitching. I think our position players will be fine. Our pitching could be fine as well, but there are an awful lot of question marks surrounding the rotation.

I'm fine compadre despite our incompetent government. It has managed the COVID thing very bad —arguably the worst around the world. Unfortunately people are dying at high rates in Mexico.

Back to baseball I thought that the Sox were going to open the wallet this year. I would like to see Bauer, Ozuna, DJ and a couple of arms for the pen and I will call it offseason. Long shot but at least they have been rumored for the Sox here and there.

Mexico's death/cases rate is over 9- about the worst in the world, but we have slightly more deaths per million than Mexico and are pulling away.

We may be spenders this winter, but not by that much.

I think Sox would love to bring Jackie back. I don’t think Jackie wants any part of returning IMO

That's a shame, if true. I want Jackie back as much as anybody, but I don't want him back if he doesn't want to be here.

Sorry to hear about that. High population centers like Mexico City present extraordinary challenges to control infectious diseases in a health crisis. Hopefully, you and your family are well.

My shopping list for the Red Sox for 2021 would include 2 healthy starters, a couple of strong bullpen arms, DJ to play 1B/2B and Rosario in the OF.

Agreed. Wonder why he feels that way, though

Yep, even guys who say JBJ is their favorite player want him gone.

LOL.

I'd love him back- just not at the money and years talked about, here.

JBJ> Pillar or Marisnik and likely both combined, and if we have no spending limit, I'd be fine with JBJ being signed, but we only have so much to spend, and pitching has 3-4 slots in bigger need than JBJ vs Pillar.

100%. I'd sign him for a 2 year deal. He'll be 31 next year and his production will only go down the longer the contract gets.

Also, I think the reason JBJ was always talked about as being a trade chip is that he'd go through Ruthian hot streaks and then fall back to earth. Maybe you could have moved him during a hot streak and maximized that value?
