Here is a recent photo of Chris Sale, he seems to have put on a few pounds since last year

He seems to be behind. I wonder if the neck and covid issue set him back

Probably so, but although he may be behind building himself up to being ready, the extra rest for his arm might actually be a good thing.

So he threw what a few pitches ? And this is some grand news ? this sounds like 4 th of July return earliest .

That's about what I expected, all along... late July/ early August.

It’s what all sane people expected; heck, Jax said a year ago that would be the realistic timeframe.

I'm not sure why people are freaking out about Sale's time frame of return. The last thing we want to do is rush him.

He had a couple setbacks and still looks to be on pace for his return within the original projected time period.

Then, some act like Sox brass has been lying about his timetable. They've never said anything firm about when he returns. Nobody does.

I don't count anybody that does not know/use proper grammar as an "actual poster." Except dgalehouse of course. He puts in extra space in between periods and new sentences, but he makes me laugh nearly everyday.

Especially since Swihart isn’t even dead yet…

You look at things like extra spaces?

I learned how to type on a typewriter as opposed to on a word processor. I still double space after sentence ending punctuation and after colons. I just recently learned that double spacing is no longer necessary, but I guess it's a hard habit to break.

I used to do the same.

I remember in college, I was one of the few who had an electric typewriter.

I saw a typewriter in England at a world war 2 Churchill bunker exhibit!

It looked complicated. No paper tray? Some sort of ink ribbon on reel to reel? And letter keys at different levels?

Typing was required class in my high school. I think I typed 34 words a minute or something. I think I got a C in class.

I took a class as an elective.

I remember one thing that teacher said- word for word, which is something I can't say about many HS teachers:

"Don't let school interfere with your education."

@ClearTheBases

Sale threw 45 pitches in two “innings”. Batters in the box but not swinging. Threw all his pitches. Fastball up to 92

Did they limit his velo or is it just part of the plan —increasing his velo progressively?

I'm guessing they tell him not to try and max out his velo, just yet.

92 is more than I expected, so soon.

Sale is a ball-buster competitive freakazoid. We need to make sure that doesn't cause a set-back.

Imagine, if we got the "old Sale" back near the deadline.

Houck and Brasier could just be gravy.
