Will The MLB Suspend The 2020 season

Florida Marlin season suspended mid covid -19 one team down how many will have to go down before the MLB call it quits.

 

David Price criticized the MLB for not taking players health seriously in consideration and putting them at risk by allow travel and not isolating. He said the measures put in place by the MLB wasn't enough to ensure everyone safe health so that's why he chose to sit out the season. I have to say right now it look like Price is right this is going to get ugly real quick.

Nah just suspended till they find enough players somewhere to field a team. What a joke force to play with sub-par players off waivers etc. maybe they should try the MLB pension club to see if some oldtimer would interested in playing a few games.

I'll suit up. I was the JBJ of my HS team. Streaky at the plate, but my defense kept me in the lineup (sort of)

I'd rather pitch for the Marlins than do jury duty. Much better benefits. After I pitched an inning I would go sit in the stands and stay away from the other players. Realistically, I wouldn't be capable of actually finishing an inning.

Actually the Marlin players didnt take their own health seriously.....how many players on other teams tested positive? Many of us have been working through the entire pandemic, Price is just a whiner...if I had to pick 1 player that I knew would opt out, it would be him.

It should be obvious that one’s health is most important. Some staff members are elderly.. some people wear masks, others refuse to. Many players opting out, empty seats, cardboard cutouts behind the plate for show, applause tracks... 2020 is a farce and it should be cancelled. Same for the NHL and NBA. Maybe they can sneak the NFL in but that’s a big maybe.

Not sure why you're down on the NBA, which for various reasons seems to have a good chance of getting a legitimate season in. The NFL has come up with nothing (well, maybe Goodell crosses his fingers once in a while.)

So, per source, the #Cardinals for now have been told that, if the rest of the team tests negative (and I haven’t yet been told how many positives they had), the series with the Brewers will start on Saturday.
