This one's easy to explain; those dudes obviously lost their legs (but it was worth it)... meanwhile, older guys have to hitch a ride on the Blue Bus just for one trip, trying to catch up.

Older guys? Verlander is a year older than Buchholz...

Some of us have reached the Dirty Old Man stage.

I'm just at the "want to take a nap because I'm so exhausted from everything" stage.

Game is on ESPN. Once again ESPN proves that they do the absolute worst job of televising a ball game.

Ever since they became part of the rat’s organization, espn has been on a downward spiral.

When I figure out how to rotate the photos, I will straighten them out. Until then tilt your head to the left.

The Jet Blue crowd is really not much distinguishable from a 1970's or 80's style Fenway crowd.

So Toronto's Jr lays into a pitch today. The wind catches it and it does not go to LF.

Travis Shaw now wearing BlueJay's laundry takes the next pitch deep to RF. You can guess what you could hear from one in the crowd over the mics. "Why can't we get players like that"! Classic....just classic.

Yes that is the Classic Sox Fan Retort. Complain about how bad a player is when he is here, but then complain about him playing elsewhere as well.

Of course the answer about why we can’t get players like Shaw is actually really simple; we couldn’t afford them because we got players like Price, Sale and Eovaldi...

Agree on the first part.

On the second part, Bloom opted for Moreland at a slightly lower cost.

And doesn’t that mean you agree on the second part, too?

Not necessarily. Maybe Bloom thinks Mitch will have a better year than Shaw?

But reportedly Bloom tried to sign Shaw at one point and couldn’t afford him due to the big contracts still on the books, which did include Price and Betts at that time. No word he approached Moreland at that point...

It's all part of the 'tank in disguise' strategy...

It's been reported that Alex Verdugo tied both of his shoes today without needing assistance. His Jerseys are flying off the shelves like canned goods during a Corona Virus outbreak. Edited by a700hitter

Stop! You’re really not coming across as the voice of morality here...

Better be sure you still have your top draft choices before tanking, whether Chaim is wearing a disguise or not. Manfred's report better be interesting because it is taking FOREVER.

Great photos boss. Planning going to Boston for the Braves and Yankee series before going to Wrigley. Hopefully see you there my friend.

Don't you think the most likely explanation is that many many teams are involved? To determine what Boston did would not take long. If that's the case, I wouldn't expect much if any penalty for RS.

Good news. Verdugo reportedly sat up in bed today and solid food is being introduced.

Verdugo may struggle becoming a fan favorite at Fenway. Tough being tagged as the pay off for Mookie, and then can't get on the field. We might not see him until mid May, if then.

Strictly IMO's from observation:

If you like long slow 100 pitch games in the 5th inning, Martin Perez could be your starter. Not much there

How long can Chavis continue with a 50% K rate ?

Mazza is not the answer to any question which addresses the depth of pitching talent on this team

On a positive note the Red Sox will continue to score runs with a lineup of Beni, Devers, JDM, Bogaerts, Vazquez, Moreland, JBJ on one of his streaks. On Erod and Nate days, they will be winners more often than not.

Dalbec looks like a 1Bman, Chavis doesn't. Other than Brock Holt, who else besides Chavis is considered your platoon 1man, and your sometimes 2Bman. Not a likely combo of talents.
