Not saying I don't trust the RED SOX BP, but I certainly wouldn't accept a check from them. Well, I might accept a check from Barnes.

OK, I am saying, except for Barnes, I don't trust the RED SOX BP.

I don't know about we, but I certainly hope the RED SOX can't. I can't just say SOX when they're playing the pale hose.

Well we blew one lol. But still 6-1

Just back in time for the Red Sox win. 90 mile trip to LA and then back. Total drive time combined , about 8 hours. LA is the definition of shithole, third world mess.

Brewer has trouble with throwing strikes and I doubt we see him in any leverage situations until he can show he is capable of a shutdown inning.

He's a perfect bookend for Thornburg.

It's a great great city. (You can't possibly live where your moniker implies; I've only been through there a few times, and the most culturally significant thing I have witnessed there is a white tiger spraying on plexiglass. The only two places I dislike more in this area are in fact 90 miles from LA, and you're right, the traffic is brutal. )

Quality start by Sale and a 3 run homer. Stats don't lie.

Excellent recovery by the overall team in general, and more specifically Chris Sale who finally gets his win. Now for many more.

You ever notice there are some GT posters that only post when we’re losing?

I'm not on here when the BRUINS are playing. I'll do my duty tomorrow night and post the OP, but I'll be watching the BRUINS and will record the SOX game to be watched later.

You are not the one he is referring to, or at least the main one.

Heard this stat earlier today. When a batter on a ML team hits a 3-run homer, his team wins 80% of their games.

When a pitcher posts a quality start, his team wins 70% of their games.

You heard it from Earl Weaver.

So this start and those that immediately preceded it should put the "Sale is injured" talk to rest, FINALLY. While I remain skeptical about the Sox plan for the Rotation this year I like seeing them pull Sale when they did in this game. IMO this is not the year to push Sale into too many high stress pitches early in the year. But that is actually why I remain skeptical about the overall impact of the Sox approach to the rotation. Sure, you can limit their ST work which simply means you have pushed ST work off into regular season play. You can hope that has a residual benefit late in the season. However, you really cannot predict how many high stress pitches your Starter is going to put on his arm over the course of a season. They could and IMO should do this with Sale when they have the opportunity. Hard to imagine they could get away with it with the other Starters in the Rotation and not burn out the pen.
