So this start and those that immediately preceded it should put the "Sale is injured" talk to rest, FINALLY. While I remain skeptical about the Sox plan for the Rotation this year I like seeing them pull Sale when they did in this game.

Personally I'm not skeptical about anything Cora does.

Heard this stat earlier today. When a batter on a ML team hits a 3-run homer, his team wins 80% of their games.

When a pitcher posts a quality start, his team wins 70% of their games.

Let's see if the new Minny team (Cleveland now in trouble) can finally win a game or two in the Big Apple--against a much weakened nemesis. Theyv'e played so wretchedly there in recent years. Maybe this will be their statement weekend.

No such luck.

The Twins just roll over for the Yankees, no matter how well the Twins are playing.

Inexplicable.

I swear everywhere is suffering. I live in Saskatchewan and it’s cold as hell. We had snow last week.

Since Monday, I have been enjoying mid to upper 80s, sunny weather this week. :)

It feels so good to go outside and enjoy the beautiful weather.

There are times when I am skeptical, but after last season, Cora deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Also, the fact that he is so adamant about his approach shows how much conviction he has behind what he does. That's good enough for me.

You lucky duck. The last two weeks, I've probably seen the sun three times. Perpetually cold, raw, and damp

Glad to see a game like that last night. I missed most of it, due to the sheer fact that it's finals week and my sinuses decided to act up.

Subtracting the PED distance makes it 422

The Real PEDs are the juiced ball these days. Years ago ball don't fly out at this rate or this type of distant we're seeing now.

Agreed.

He certainly did. Not vintage but highly encouraging.

I’m looking forward to whenever his next start is when the temp is above 60F...

You heard it from Earl Weaver.

I actually heard those stats while watching the Cubs' game yesterday afternoon, but the 3 run homer does sound like something the late, great Earl Weaver would say.
