OK.

Just a "sore shoulder" for Sev, but Sale is all but burnt toast.

He clearly stated IF it is just a sore shoulder. He also said it may be more than that. Sheesh.

So, you think he starts the day after his suspension is lifted (or does not miss a start due to health issues)?

I have no idea, I'm neither a Dr or a coach watching his ST regimen.

The biggest predictor of how the Yankees will do is my diehard Yankees friend from college. I texted him the other day what he thinks their chances are, and he hasn't texted back yet. That can only mean one thing; he's worried!!! I taunted him mercilessly last year it was SO much fun.

Apparently Hicks, the other recipient of a Yankee contract extension, is also out with some soreness.

Exactly what does the Yankee top brass do to their players as part of the negotiating process? A little “physical encouragement” to make sure they sign something team-friendly?

I get that, but it's never just a "sore shoulder" with Sox players.

Sheesh.

Plus, Sale is feeling fine now, and he's throwing. Sev is not.

Major League Baseball just announced Red Sox pitcher Steven Wright has received an 80-game suspension for use of a performance-enhancing substance.

@BuckinBoston

From MLB: “Red Sox pitcher Steven Wright has received an 80-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide 2 (GHRP-2), a performance-enhancing substance, in violation of Major League Baseball’s Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.”

His contract is guaranteed, right? (Although he does not get half of it.)

My guess is, we keep him like we did Chavis.

I have pointed out a couple of times recently that Steven Wright is a problem child for the Sox . The injuries , the slow recoveries and the 911 domestic violence call . And now this . This confirms it , in my opinion . Counting on this guy for anything was foolish .

I put in the Yankee thread the projected schedule to maximize the use of our rotation. I have Loaisiga throwing once and German throwing 3 times with a projected Sevy return in Anaheim on April 25. Of the four games our depth guys throw, 3 will be vs Detroit or KC and one will be vs Houston (probably get racked that day).

Hey, if you're happy with your starting rotation, I'm happy with it.

LOL.

I'm happy with the Yankee rotation, too.

Sevy may be facing TJS at some point.

Tanaka hes been living on borrowed time.

Paxton has never pitched a full season with plenty of IP'd.

CC has heart issues and more. Plus he turns 82 this year.

Happ has done very well as he moves through his prime years, but it's time for decline.

Where do you get Sevy and TJS? You’re dealing with the wrong joint

I like your thinking, Nick. From your lips to Henry's ears.

My dream reliever LeClerc just got a four year extension from the Rangers. Bummer!

Not really an extension because he was already under control for those years. This is one of those fancy deals that replaces the arbitration years and makes people's heads hurt trying to figure out what they really mean. :)

Oh I see, thanks for the explanation.
