2018 World Series: The Dodgers vS The Red Sox

I've held a grudge against the Los Angeles Dodgers since the Blue topped my Minnesota Twins in the seventh game of the 1965 World Series that spanned my 10th birthday.

 

I've probably seen more MLB games at Dodger Stadium than at any other venue but I could never embrace the Dodgers despite living within walking distance* for six years.

 

Nevertheless I find myself pulling for the West Coast team in this year's World Series. Sorry, Sox fans.

 

I hope we see an exciting series.

 

* actually I walked the four miles to and from my home to Dodger Stadium for one afternoon game.

I just find it a little weird and annoying quite honestly. You do spend a lot of time here. How much time do you spend on LAD forum? Ya’ know, that team you hate for 50 years but are all of a sudden rooting for.

As far as the hack part goes, invoking Nostradamus every time we make fun of someone's lousy predictions is pretty hack in itself - I don't think the 'dumb-ass' part does much further damage...

Looks like to me Kershaw has turned into a finesse Pitcher. His K rate has dropped significantly, since his velocity has gone down. Last year 202 K's in 175 innings, this year 155 in 161 innings. That's a pretty big difference to me. Don't expect a lot of walks with him. 29 BB's this year. Don't wait around swing the bats. Be aggressive.

That herky-jerky, motion, and the way he hides the ball, sure glad he doesn't throw 97 anymore. I expect a lot of Curveballs, and the Bruce Hurst style with him too. Even 92-93, the way he hides the ball, it gets on a hitter quickly. Edited October 23, 2018 by OH FOY!
