They won't keep 3 catchers, I don't think.

They did all this year, until Vaz went on the DL. Besides, Swihart can play other positions and might learn another one this winter.

Leon would be most likely to go I think. The Sox have a bigger investment in Vazquez. But the bigger consideration could be keeping all 3 for both the injury factor and Swihart's position flexibility. You might get a good reliever for Leon , at least in a package deal withothers

We needed all 3 this year. Why push our luck?

Hah ! Beni makes all the outs confirming his slump status. He did give himself up when it mattered earlier in the inning. Wonder if that was his call or the dugout's ?

Beni makes all 3 outs lol

I feel sorry for the kid. He is just in a slump and we need him to adjust and come out of it. Even our BP can't blow this one.

How often does that happen?
I'll bet that he has never done it, and as happy as he is for the team, it probably eats at the competitor in him. LOL!! Guaranteed that his mate will ask him how many hits he got in the inning to needle him.

They only kept all 3 because Swihart was out of options. Now that he has proven himself and assuming that he continues to improve as a catcher between now and next year, they will trade one of the others.

Which of Vazquez or Leon won't be with the Sox next year because Swihart will be. He is an offensive catcher who is only going to get better as a hitter.

We just signed Vaz.

Leon is our best catcher right now.

My guess is we have all 3 on the opening day roster next year.

I agree with moon. Swihart's ability to play other positions is invaluable in these days a 12 and 13 man pitching staffs.

Now, one could be included as part of a larger deal, but otherwise, I think all 3 will be im Boston.

Brasier may be a flash in the pan, but pounding the zone at 98 will cause some outs, maybe a hit or two, Brasier's stats are pretty good so far

I've never seen it. I was betting on a sac fly, which would have meant that with 2 outs, the Sox would have had a 1.000 batting average that inning.

He just gave up his first homer of the year. Apparently he can't pitch the 8th either.

This is when you send Hembree or Barnes, no Braiser.

No it's not. Brasier hasn't pitched since Saturday and that was his only appearance since last Wednesday. Needs the work.
