El Prodigio is settling down quite nicely

Unfortunately, that first inning is going to end his day early; he's at 75 pitches through 4 (32 of those in the first), so this is probably his last inning.

This game is becoming a little aggravating. Limited offensive production off a no-name we've never seen before. Come on!

I was just looking at his numbers; he's got some pretty good minor league stats. 33-17 in four years, ERA of 2.75, WHIP of 1.15. Above all, he has always thrown strikes, with roughly a 3:1 K:BB ratio. His big league numbers over 15 games haven't matched his MiLB stats, but he's continued his trend of throwing strikes and he's had some pretty good outings since he came up last July.

He's also only 24, so he looks like he could be around a while as a #2-#3 type guy. In any case, I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss him as a total nobody. The Bucs seem like they have a decent hurler in him.

Benintendi's poor baserunning, tagging up on that play, prevented Mookie from scoring, but as long as Kimbrel does his job, I won't lose sleep over it.

Fantastic comeback win! Really fun game to score on my phone. Gonna keep that mojo going tomorrow night.

It was a tough hit to know it was not going to be caught. I'm not sure he deserves much or any blame.

Remy was saying in the broadcast how given the situation, bases loaded and 1 out, it wouldn't necessarily be the best time to tag up at 2nd. He said it wouldn't gain anything significant if Marte had caught it.

True, but when I watched the play, it looked like it might be caught. He probably could have been 2-3 steps off 2nd base and still tagged up, if he caught it.

Yeah, but those 2-3 steps would have been enough to score Mookie, who was right on his heels.

Yes it is clear that Benintendi is and obstruction.

Precisely. I expect to see him traded by the end of the month.

You think they'll trade him before April is out? Not a chance.

Not sure if this is sarcasm or not, but my post was.

I agree entirely. They'll just waive him.

Some highlights from the game:

1. The above photo was my vantage point, courtesy of a great deal on StubHub thanks to the rainout.

2. The Governor of Kentucky showed up in the 7th inning to sit two rows in front and five seats to the left of me. He wore a suit. I don't care if you're the f***ing Pope, you don't wear a suit to a baseball game unless you're an announcer or FO staff. At least jam a Sox cap on your head, you douche. And show up a little earlier.

3. John Jaso's hair looks filthy from up close.

4. Greyhound customer service is abysmal, even by the standards of public transportation. Consequently, I am stuck in Boston until 7AM tomorrow when the next bus to Hartford leaves, so I would appreciate, from any natives, any advice on how to pass the time once this restaurant I am sitting in closes in an hour.

5. There are just so many Chipotles here in Boston. I thought Dunkin' was omnipresent, but I swear I passed two Chipotles on the same block.

6. Even after having attended dozens of Red Sox games over the past 15 years, I still cannot get over the fact that there is no cheese sauce for the Fenway Franks. Not all of us like mustard on hot dogs, Fenway Park. Some of us prefer something that doesn't taste like garbage. Anyone who disagrees with me is more wrong than anyone has ever been about anything.

We won that is all.... My Senators lost to the very team I hate in hockey but love in baseball.... Strange....

I know how you feel. I hate the Patriots so very, very much and it drives me absolutely nuts when people assume I am a Patriots fan just because I'm a Red Sox fan.

i get that all the time. The Patriots have become my second favorite football team since they have lost 2 Super Bowls to my Giants and in the Super Bowl against the Seahawks I won $4,000. Mr. Brady and Mr. Belichick are okay in my book.

That's like saying the Yankees are my second favorite team.
