It absolutely depends on your location. MLBN might not show a Red Sox game LIVE if you live in Atlanta, you get a game from your regional team. Then TAPE DELAY are shown at a later time.

When you say MLBN you mean MLB.TV?.

Since I live in Mexico I never experiment blackouts on MLB.TV or on sky when I buy the 'Extra innings' package. Not sure whe Kimi lives, but you are right, you have to check out your blackout conditions.

Btw I think you can download a software (I do not remember the name, let me check out) in order to change your IP and avoid blackouts. Edited by iortiz

Kinda disappointed they wasted a broadcast for a freaking college game that only went 7 inning. NESN still sucks.
It was a doubleheader -- two 7 inning games.

I've only had that work for away games. If MLB.TV can't see your IP address they default to your credit card info, which is most likely your home zip. Then you get blacked out.

I call total bullcrap on this.

Blackouts apply to both MLBN and MLB.TV here, it also applies to ESPN and FOX/TBS too.

Against a college squad of nobody. I can't believe they even had paid patrons at the park.

Visiting major league teams only bring 3 starting players to Spring Training games, so you are usually watching a lot of no name guys. there isn't a lot of high level competition at Spring Training.

Lol. Poor girl.

You must be Jonesing.

Big time Jonesing, Spud, as I'm sure we all are. Can't wait for the real games to start. The offseason is way too long.

Tomo is scheduled the Sox game on MLB.TV among 4 other games Kim.

My guide only lists the Sox game, which means that's the game I'm getting.

Sometimes they list a possibility of 2 or 3 games, in which case I usually get screwed.

I am blacked out from all of the Os and Nats games on my Extra Innings package, which isn't too bad because I can catch all of those games on MASN. However, the bad part about that is that I have to endure Gary Thorne for 18 games every year, and he is usually unbearable. So I call bullcrap on this too.

I see. Even if you live outside the US like me, MLB.TV only transmits few ST games everyday. For example today they just transmitted 5 games. At least you can watch today's Sox game :)

On the other hand, once the regular season starts, I can watch every game.

This game tonight is the first one I've watched, and if I close my eyes, it's as if I'm still listening to O'Brien on the radio with a slightly more Bostonian sounding color man.

Boy. I'm getting an update on the challenges of "out of market" Sox fans and what they have to do to watch and follow our team. What a f***ing drag.

One of my favorite days of the year when I was younger was the day the first spring training game was on. So weird to hear no Orsillo though, and know that soon there will be no more Ortiz.

I'm pumped right now though

Next year is going to be tough for me to swallow. My Red Sox fandom has revolved around Big Papi. He's always been there in my eyes; I can't remember a time without him, but can't forget his lasting moments, specifically the '04 ALCS and '13 ALCS

Very high on my list of hopefuls this year, and possibly top of the list, is Papi goes out like a rock star.

If he leaves MLB still as a wrecking machine and with a wink that game is now for younger people, I will be happy.

I get to watch every regular season Sox game, so I won't complain (too much). Once the regular season starts, Extra Innings broadcasts every MLB game in my area except for the Os and the Nats, which I can watch on the local cable network.

The biggest complaint is having to watch the feed of their choice, which is usually the home team's feed. It can be extremely annoying listening to other announcers cheering for their team.

Obviously the hope is that the Sox send Papi out as a 4 time World Series Champion, but at the very least, I would love for Papi to have a great season. I'd hate to see him struggle all year. He deserves to go out on a high note.

It is still a very hypocritical puritanical town.

Yeah, puritanical was the word I should have used.

Really, who cares who is f***ing who as long as it does not involve children or animals?

It sucks that she has lost her job over this.

This may be the beginning of the Red Sox setting up Farrell for his exit. They need to dirty him up if they want to move on from him after the cancer.

It won't help his cause, that's for sure.
