In my opinion, from LHP, it has to do with both the platoon advantage of the lefty against the lefties and a consistent out pitch against the guys who can hit from the right side. Jeter does not care though.

Right, the out pitch is a huge thing. I don't think the Yankees have had a single hit from behind in the count today.

He did lose it, but the umpire deemed he had "enough control of it" for it to be an out.

Well there's the Joba the Yankees need. He gave up a couple singles, but he was fantastic. He has to find that consistency.

Yeah Jeet! I really think we need to score, because unless Joe's going to Mo I'm not comfortable with our bullpen trying to hold onto a tie game in extra innings on the road. Thankfully Joba was good today, but there's been too much inconsistency to really trust in the pen.

I have to agree here. HE is not hitting well right now and an 0-6 day and a 5 K day doesn't help.

Yeah, it is about time to move him down in the order. This offense is very strange. We score 11 runs when we dont need them, then cannot score 3 runs. Eventually, Tex is gonna hit, but we gotta do something to guard us against his black hole in the 3 spot. I wouldnt mind moving Cano to 3rd, Posada to 5th and Tex to 6th

Yeah, that is the cause of his problems and was exactly the reason for his run of suck last yr in April. He usually has pinpoint FB control. It will come back. The funny thing is, his ERA is only 4.15 and half his starts have been with zero FB control. He's gonna have a hell of a season

So much stupidity at play tonight. CC's worst pitch tonight is his fastball. He goes to an inside fastball on 1-1 to get ahead of Jones at 1-2. He's setup perfectly to throw his change-up for a K, but instead tries to double up with his worst pitch. Incredible.

Him just not pitching well doesn't bother me nearly as much as the mental errors.
