Well, if you ever get one and you want to keep up on the games, get the MLB At Bat App. It's $15, but allows you to listen to every game and watch all highlights in game. It is absolutely awesome for any trips and is wicked awesome for the beach. Nothing like listening to a Yankee game as the waves roll in

It really is nice to play fluff teams. This Guardians team is bad, especially without Cabrera and Sizemore. CC rollin, the offense actually getting hits with RISP and then bringing in runners on 3rd with less than 2 outs.

Sounds pretty good' date=' except for the last part.[/quote']

I also listen to sox games and Rays games as well. You get the home and away broadcasts as well as the spanish broadcasts.

Classic idiot Yankees' fans booing Girardi. All these moves have been the right ones. Maybe they should do what they normally do and leave well before the game is over.

The interesting thing is that the Yankees have been applauded for making the correct decision about the fifth starters spot, but now I'm not really sure. As we watch Joba struggle game after game out of the setup the role, the case could be made that the setup role is more important than the fifth starters spot. We have to remember that the Yankees season didn't turn around last year until Phil Hughes took over the eighth inning role, and the Yankees were essentially able to shorten games to seven innings.

I've been optimistic about Joba, but we now have to wonder if this is what Joba is, someone who is going to be incredibly inconsistent, sometimes going out there and dominating, and sometimes going out there with nothing.

Joba sucks.

This is pretty much the short way of saying what I said. This Yankees' team appears to be pretty flawed, and the bullpen is probably the biggest one.

I don't quite see what you're getting at, but if it has anything to do with switching Joba and Hughes I think it's a horrible idea given how good Hughes has been. He's finally living up to all the hype that surrounded him since being drafted in '04.

Agreed. They need to find a more suitable 8th inning guy and shift Joba to the middle innings until he proves he can consistently get guys out.

I'm not advocating that they should switch Joba and Hughes at this point. What I'm saying is that the difference last year was the relief pitching at the end of games, something they don't have this year, and I have my doubts about whether or not they'll find it.

I'm not really sure if that guy is out there.

I think this is a false dichotomy. Just because Joba has been mediocre as the setup man doesn't mean Hughes should have to go back to the bullpen when he has been lights out as a starter. There are plenty of relievers available who can fill the Yankees' need right now. Not too many starters out there who can do what Hughes has been doing.

Nowhere did I advocate that Hughes should go back to the bullpen. I'm just wondering if the Yankees approached this entire situation wrong in Spring Training. It was a competition for the fifth starters spot, with the loser going to the bullpen. Maybe they should have been more concerned about finding the best man for the bullpen, instead of the best man for the starting rotation.

I'd say they made the right choice. Joba was nails in the bullpen when he was first brought up. Where the Yankees went wrong is when they moved him to the rotation. He hasn't been the same since. They thought by moving him back to the pen he could recapture the early dominance he exhibited. I would have thought the same thing. It might be time to send him down to figure out a few things.
