  1. He can hit. But I'll be more comfortable with his defense once Tex returns.
  2. Romine missed most of last season due to.a back injury and he couldn't hit when he came back. In the AFL he was nothing special. I'm sure he's ready defensively and he's the backup catcher of the future (for the yankees). I'd say Cervelli has the job secured for the first months of the Season unless Romine has a monster ST.
  3. The "Welcome to The Show" Fantasy League is back for 2012. Anyone can join as the draft date is not set yet, and owners are being recruited. For those that don't know. Welcome to the Show league is hosted by Gom, who was banned from Talksox for being an idiot. I've played this league for 2 years and I must say is really active, you have to log in like 10 times to day to keep track on things, there's like 3 trades per month on average, and trades get vetoed if they aren't fair. Is not one of those boring league with no trades where everyone just keep stacking players. Is extremely competitive, most owners know their s***, so it's not easy. It's free. League page: http://games.espn.go.com/flb/leagueoffice?leagueId=214657 Gom's email: mohamedwalid@hotmail.com, mohamedwalid0712@gmail.com. Peace
  4. John Lannan in the AL East, yes please. The Sox should've signed either Kuroda, Jackson or Oswalt on a 1 year deal. They're gonna regret the Bard experiment.
  5. I'd rather have Jackson. 200 IP machine, AL East experience AND HEALTHY.
  6. Lmfao, Jeter has shown over his HALL OF FAME CAREER that he can sustain such a high BABIP without regressing his production. The fact that you're comparing Aviles to Jeter makes me lose faith on this forums again. Idiot.
  7. He's never had over 500 PAs over a full season. His OPS looks 'good' because his numbers are inflated by high BABIPs on his rookie year and 2010. He's streaky but will regress badly over the course of a full season. He is not a SS. He's like Freddie Sanchez lite.
  8. Plus Aviles is not a true SS. I bet that by the end of the season both Punto and Iglesias combine to have more starts at SS than Aviles.
  9. Smart, using his PAs with the Sox last year to predict his future perfomance rather than the rest of his career stats.
  10. Offensive black hole at SS.
  11. I don't like him. He's a K machine, doesnt gets on base and zero defensive value. But over a full season he could just give us Carlos Pena production and hit .200 with 30 bombs. I wouldn't be surprised. I'd rather have him than Matsui and Damon of course. I'd like to see them giving Brandon Laird regular at bats at 3rd with A-Rod as the DH to keep him healthy, but that won't happen.
  12. Pineda?s FIP was lower on the road that at home (3.26 vs 3.62 FIP).
  13. It's an amazing deal, low risk for both teams and HUGE rewards. Young elite pitcher for a young elite hitter. A lot of talent. I think Noesi is the big loss here, he'll probably have better numbers than Pineda next year and people will bash the trade. But Pineda has ace potential and he's still a work in progress.
  14. Yankees looking at Carlos Pena. He would hit 30 bombs in YS easily against RHP.
  15. Jim Callis says he would have ranked Jose Campos as the Yankees 5th prospect on BA's top 10 list.
