Like we can talk on that one. There's only pitcher left on the board from Boston's bullpen and everyone in our lineup under the age of 32 is off the board, as are Lester, Beckett, Matsuzaka and Buchholz from the rotation..

Montero will be in the majors in some capacity next yr. Just like Strasburg' date=' and if he is as good as advertised, he'll make an impact. Plus, I needed another catcher since I got porked early with soto[/quote']

The Yankees' commitment to Posada leaves me to doubt that very much. Unless they eat Jorge Posada's deal, it'll be Posada-Cervelli for the next couple years and Montero comes along nice and slow.

Love to see you rush that kid though. A lot of really suck catchers hit great in class A advanced.

19 year old catchers in High-A? List them.

Figured I'd take Carlos Lee. I think his value, this late in the draft, is really good.

I'm assuming that his productivity will make it through at least more than half of the five years.

I feel like Lee's decline is going to be a pretty quick one--though I agree he should be productive through 2010 or so, I think because of conditioning and injuries he may fall off a cliff.

It's possible, but he has been producing at a really steady pace through this year. Considering the round, I think it's worth a shot. When his decline hits, I have either DeJesus or Cabrera (right now Cabrera) on the bench, ready to replace Lee.

I like Lee. Pretty good hitter that always seems to put up good stats but never really standout as a MVP candidate/All-Star. Too bad you can't play him at DH because his defense is pretty bad.

The only problem with Lee is the high chance of BMS.

He can be an elite hitter for a couple more seasons, but you never know when he'll fall off the cliff.

He also holds the dubious distinction of being the only LF worse than Adam Dunn.

BMS?

Big Man Syndrome.

Big guys with conditioning problems sometimes see their usefulness disappear abruptly because of injuries caused by their poor conditioning.

See: Mo Vaughn, Cecil Fielder, currently maybe David Ortiz.

I'm very upset at Conor Jackson being gone' date=' that was my next pick[/quote']

I had a 5th starter in mind, but I figured someone might take Jackson this round if I didn't. Looks like I was right. 'Course, if I lose that 5th starter, was it worth it? :dunno:

I was just trying to grab some attention for the thread, so maybe we get on a picking spree again.
