"I'm Jacksonianmarch' date=' and the only Jesus I believe in is Montero."[/quote']

Jacko couldn't physically make a podcast.

No one would understand him with half the Yankee farm system's balls in his mouth.

I really like the Manny pick - I think he's a good bet to be a solid run producer at the DH spot for at least two, maybe three years.

Like Crespo said, power is becoming a premium at this point in the draft.

I'd love to make my two picks today but won't hold my breath.

maybe im naive, and if i am i'll pay for it, but when it coems to guys like okajima i feel like, due to his age especially, there has to be so many guys out there that do the same thing. Myabe we are into that group of guys already and okijima is simply the first one of them to go, but i just cant believe that is right.

I agree.

There're a lot of guys out there probably better than 'Jima.

But hey, it's his team, he must have SOME explanation.

33 isn't an age I'm concerned with. He might not hold up for the entire life of this thing, but he should be good for at least three years. When faced with the decision, I'd rather have vets than tykes in my bullpen.

I wanted Ryan Madson as my setup man, but since that's no longer possible Huston Street seemed like a good substitute. Even though he's primarily been used as a closer in his career, I feel fairly confident he could make the adjustment. He's only 25 and has been money since his rookie year.

My two cents on the Manny pick. It's a good value pick, assuming he's not blacklisted from baseball after this season.

OK.

Went with Jason Motte even though he looks a lot like Eric Gagne.

Motte's career FIP is 2.14 and his current ERA of 2.78, which unfortunately is inlfated by his Opening Day outing. Career WHIP under 1, K/BB increased every year of the minor leagues, throws 98+ and is continuing to develop his secondary pitches.

Seeing Dan Bard and Francisco Cordero go before Motte made me quite pleased.

I was going back and forth between him and Capps as my closer so its a good pick

Well Montero's just a bit WTF cuz he's still a ways away (would be like a Sox fan drafting Expo) but Burnett is solid for this late in the draft.

Montero will be in the majors in some capacity next yr. Just like Strasburg, and if he is as good as advertised, he'll make an impact. Plus, I needed another catcher since I got porked early with soto
