I just like to point out when A-Rod gets booed despite the stupid number of curtain calls he gets throughout a season.

Alright, look, I think a lot of the Yankee fans that go to the games are stupid but who gives a s*** about the curtain calls.

I always remember this being discussed on this forum. Who cares. A lot of the fans that go to the games are hypocritical, but again, who cares if they give the guys curtain calls more frequently than in other stadiums. It really doesn't matter in the least.

Now I'm just doing it to get a rise out of you. Don't take it so seriously.

I'm aware of the frustration right now going through the Yankee fan base.

Yeah and we barely beat them today. I'm still split, I still believe they have a shot at the WC, but I also believe the ship is sinking.

I still think its 60/40

Before today's play there were 40 games left for each team. If the Sox go 23-17, which is at their current W%, the Yankees need to go 30-10 just to tie. I don't see that record out of this Yankee team with the rotation they have and the schedule they face.

Haha fair enough. Tough times for the Yankee fans. Although I feel like I'm one of the only Yankee fans on here who hasn't given up.

Yeah your probably right, but honestly does it even matter? Whichever of us wins it has to play the Angles round 1. And lets face it neither of us have much of a chance in that series.

Not only might we not play the Angels, but we have a decent shot at winning.

Yet, if asked to pick a winner of a Boston / LA series at the begining of this year, you would have picked the opposite and been equally wrong.

First, I don't think LA is the stand-alone cream of the AL crop. They've scored more and given up less runs that the sum of the parts, by about 20 each way. Good for them, they've earned the extra wins, but their record is overstated in terms of predictive value.

Second, this is a funny game. Teams good enough to win 90+ games can beat any team in history in a short series if things break right. Their pitcher gets good fortune on the direction balls are hit, like Halladay did tonight, their lineup gets hot together, the one bullpen pitcher they really need to step up comes in and has his good stuff that night. The playoffs, in a short series, man, these things are a crap shoot. Just get there, get there healthy, and hopefully get there with your rotation lined up, and roll the dice.

Hopefully this gets them moving. I was joking with my brother before that at some point the Yankees had to pick up a game on Boston and Tampa in the same day, and it finally happened.

Glad to see Gardener have a good day. I think he brings some things to the table they haven't had.

tuff 1 to lose but toronto is coming on like gangbusters

damon dropping that ball epitomized his career since leaving boston and i dont give a fiddlers f*** what he did at the plate,he caught everything in boston but had the arm of a woman,in ny he is delegated to being a platoon fielder and a dh....i liked damon but he isnt what i would refer to as a yankee.

give theo a thumbs up for letting him walk and give cashman a new 5 year deal for signing this has been

Tonight Pigson looked every bit the pig that he is. Jays 5-0 so far and Pigson went 2 innings. His good starts were very misleading, because he just stinks.
