Nice job by Burgos. 4 innings on 52 pitches, saving the bullpen.

Lets hope Adley can discover his power swing at Fenway. Pretty sure its a day off for him today.

Probably getting sent down and swapped out with somebody? Not really any great options though.

He had a wrist injury.  Let’s get him to 30-40 ABs and then evaluate.  Why these guys (and the organization) think 6 rehab ABs is enough is beyond me,

Story needs to take 10 games worth minimum. Anthony and IKF as well.  Anthony might do well to take the full 20 days.

Happy BDay to Sox legends: Dustin Pedroia, Rudy York, Deigo Segui, Ed Durham, Johnny Watwood, Alex Cole, Butch Hobson, Vince Molyneaux, Clem Hausmann and Bill Pertica.

Remember guys, even though we're struggling, in a sport run by absolute MORONS, it is actually FAR better to get the 6-seed than the 5-seed. I hope we continue to swoon enough (while getting healthy) that that HAPPENS.

5-seed earns us: at NYY followed by at TB.

6-seed we have to play at CWS, then at Hou.

Its LAUGHABLE the drop in quality we would get by falling a seed lower. As I said, sport is governed by schmucks.

BADley RUSTman should still be batting for WOO. He wasn’t anymore ready than NOmy was to help the Red Sox.

Nope! Want the Yankees, and hopefully having both teams all healthy, and ready to play.

He missed 3 weeks.  Not like he was out since April.  And he hit well when he did play in Worcester…

Huh? He had 5 AB at Worcester.

7 PA with 2 walks and only one strikeout and a double with 2 RBIs.

But the bigger deal is he swung without pain and was cleared by the hand specialist…

He may have been cleared by a hand specialist, but he wasn’t, and isn’t ready to hit ML pitching.

Rutschman

3/26 - 5/9: 986 OPS

5/10 - 7/18: 654 OPS

8/11 - 8/16: 332 OPS

Many people were warning about his April numbers doing a lot of heavy lifting for his YTD stats.

705 OPS since the start of '24.

Good points.  But I still think it doesn't help Rutschman to weigh 230 lbs.

I think 10 games is enough for Anthony, but management gets to see how he does at Worcester before deciding.

His struggles to date appear to be related to strike zone and not his wrist.

A 1 for 14 stretch doesn’t necessarily mean he belongs in the minors…

Plus he's overweight at 6'1" and 230 lbs.  How the heck did he get 3 trips to the ASG?

He was supposed to be one of the major building blocks for the Oriole’s for them to be Awesome along with Gunner that didn’t work out as good as planned, and they were willing to move on from him.🤔

Whether we agree with it or not, I can promise you a larger factor in the length of the rehab assignment than many might want it to be  is the quality of the replacement player…

Never said his wrist is the problem, but it appears everything else is. An infield hit is all he’s mustered so far. Strike zone being a problem is a problem. It’s glaring.

Even with the recent bad play the league is so weak, and the Red Sox have a big enough cushion that no one needs to be rushed especially if they can’t hit like NOmy, and RUSTman.

He's a good catcher. I think the expectations on him weren't fair.

What hasn’t helped is not being able to stay on the field as much the last two years.
