I just don't know much about 'rest' part. Can Chapman go tonight due to low pitch count? Or is it simply too much to go out for 4th time in 5 days? I can see the problem if his pitch count explodes after he comes in. Usually the closer doesn't come out.

Whitt is well rested so he can close I suppose.

It's simply unbelievable to me that we are 8 games over .500. Exact record at the same time last year after 110 games.

I wouldn't overdo it with Chapman.  I'd go Guerrero plus the 3 Ws and hope for the best.

If you’re Breslow and JH right now you gotta think a WS appearance is super obtainable right? Let’s go make the moves.

Agreed, but I hope we don't trade the whole future away.

Garcia has been pulled from the lineup for the Nationals? I think he would be a good get with 3 more years of control (I think)

Skip that, just one more year.

The Yankees are acquiring infielder Luis García Jr. from the Nationals for four pitchers, a source told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand. In return, the Nationals will receive right-handers Yovanny Cruz, Jake Bird, Jack Cebert (the Yanks' No. 14 prospect) and Ben Grable (No. 25). The clubs have not confirmed the deal.

We couldn't come up with this? It would have solved our eternal problem for 2026 and 2027.

I'm waiting for Bres to announce tomorrow night, "We just couldn't line up the players that both sides could agree on". Oh well, he is what he is. We would all die in a forest fire waiting for him to decide which trail we should escape to.

Worst case scenario is the Sox leave the West Coast 5-2. Anyone have a problem with that?

Did anybody think this could happen based on how we were playing in May????

Something like “we really wanted to make a deal. We were INTERESTED in making a deal.”

Not expecting much, if anything

We have had a 22 game turnaround in a fairly short period of time. I’ve never seen that.

The future is now. Whatever the hell that means.

Yes, the future is now- just like last year when everyone wanted Tolle & Early.

Kinda glad we didn't trade them, as they have morphed into a better Tolle and our future 2Bman Mead.

Yes, I called it.

(Then I woke up.... LOL)

I do remember being blasted for even mentioning the WC3 slot. Now I'm thinking AL East winner, or at least the 2nd best AL record.

Duran, Narvaez, Sogard

Sounds like a beautiful trade for Hunter Goodman

I’d keep Sogard.
