Aptly said.  Tolle was a tad lucky but that's fine with me.  Bullpen terrific.  Rafaela out of his freaking gourd against a truly excellent pitcher.  Plus a heckuva Durbin double in the 8th.  No rbi for Wong, but I'm fine with the GIDP and the winning run scoring.

I figured it would be closer to the deadline. Dodgers didn't give up a heck of a lot for Skubal and they'll probably out bid everybody for him during the off season.

I don't believe the Sox need a catcher. What they need is a good starter and a good reliever.

Duran can’t stay. He’s not contributing and you can’t be showing up your coach or teammate, whoever he was yelling at. Springer wants to come to Boston. He always hits well at Fenway. I think he would be an improvement. Our pen has been lights out but sure-the more the merrier..

I didn't think they gave up much, but I just as soon the LAD get him as opposed to one of our competitors.

To us normal people the change occured ABRUPTLY at the beginning of this year compared to the end of last year.  He sucked at the end of last year, offensively. Then, ABRUPTLY, he turned the corner this year.
