Yes.  Cora was a veteran oriented manager.  "You know what to do, so just go out there and do it. I'll watch"

I think Tracy's biggest contribution is a sense of calmness . He was as frustrated as anyone up to June 25 and it showed in post game interviews with terse comments but he backed his guys.   

I understand the implications but I do get offended by the constant labelling of Tracy as "INTERIM" . To me, that is Breslow reinforcing that he is the one in charge of everything, true as it may be, with no credit to Tracy or new coaches for holding the crap roster together during the period up to June 25.

It's hard to know what difference Tracy made or did not make.

I will say, I'm not sure we win like this had Cora stayed.

As a prevalent voice in the dugout, clubhouse, airports and hotels, Tracy may have had more positive influence on the players than any sporadic speeches or threats from Breslow.

Then again, there's always the possibility the front office is handing down scripts for Chad to regularly recite.

The impact of the manager is the most intangible of intangibles.  But I do think Tracy has to be doing some stuff right for the team to turn it around the way it has.

Earl Weaver said his job was to make up the lineup card and get out of the way.  He also said his job was to not screw up all the wonderful work the front office had done the winter before.  I don't think he fully believed these things, but they were good lines.

I'd say you have to extend him through 2027, at least.

This ownership needs more consistency and stability. I’m hoping that Tracy will be here a while. He’s got a good balance of analytics and being a baseball guy he’s got a good feel for the players and the game. He doesn’t get too up or down. I like him.

i wasn’t a Cora fan from the very start. And after losing us draft pick and international money for using video during the game, I was even less of a fan. Trash can banging cheating clown…good riddance.

That's because he had a lot of them as they came through the system. I think he has shown he can handle Sox job.
