Bello has pitched well 3 of the 4 times he's started in the 2nd inning. There definitely appears to be a head problem for his difficulties in the 1st inning.

This one's on the manager.  Great idea to let Bello start the 2d inning, but not if his "reliever" stinks.  So far it is rare when Bello's "reliever" pitches a scoreless inning.  

The lousy hitting is mostly because of Breslow.

This Bello thing is fascinating to witness, he is the pitcher we all were hoping for right now. But it is just so frustrating that they can't find a body who can get 3 outs to start the game.  You can't burn Whit in that role, this bullpen depth is pathetic.

He’s got a partially torn ligament in his ring finger.  The only thing that heals a ligament is time and you kinda need that part of your hands to hit.

Merloni pegged it when it happened. He said you never know with hands.  It could be a week, it could be a couple months.  He was right.

Lying Sam Kennedy is the one who said it was day to day.  Best bet is to believe absolutely nothing that man says.

Outside of the IL, why can’t you burn Whit in that role?  Hes a good example of how the opener is supposed to be employed…
