At a minimum, Story should be benched.  But honestly, it’s not like IKF or Monasterio are great replacements.

I suppose when Anthony returns, Anthony to LF, Duran to CF, Rafaela to 2b, Mayer to SS, Story to bench…

I’m confident Monasterio can be way better replacement at all phases. Give him a chance. If that doesn’t work, call Campbell. If that doesn’t work, call Arias. I don’t f care who but Story.

Mayer can play SS and we can go with the carousel at 2B once again.

Monasterio, IKF, Seigler, Cheng, KC, Romero, Sogard (Eaton at 3B and Durbin at 2B?)

I'd mention Arias, but I'm not sure about that one.

I'd avoid Rafaela at 2B, but at this point, WTH.

Exactly. Let the 2B carousel begins once again or for once and for all trade for Marte. If they still want Duran and Bello, get it done.

The only different I’ve seen so far since Chad took over on the field is Masa was the odd man out when everyone was healthy, so I don’t think it’s a little bit more up in the air at all. I’m not so sure the Red Sox see Mayer as the SS anymore, and he’s still a platoon player.

Weakening the defense to get Yoshida's bat in the lineup won't be helpful, imo.  He has a .542 over his last 11 games.  At this point, I would simply start Monasterio.  It is unlikely to help, but at this point, the only pitches that Story takes are ones that are likely to hit him if he swings.
