IMO, this is a winnable game.  It's all small sample but Narvaez, Anthony, Story and Contreras have all had some success against Lauer.  Abreu and Duran have only 8 ABs, but with a 2/2 K/W.  No PAs by either Mayer or Durbin v Lauer.  And most of the BP should be available.

Anthony back in the leadoff spot today with Duran on the bench. IKF, and Mon Man in with Mayer sitting against a LHP. Looks like a Cora lineup to me.

Why Story is in and Mayer out is beyond me. It's stupid to say the least. Tracy had the opportunity to operate based on his own ideas but seems someone else is running the everyday card.

Said that when they finally realize Story is done and is not an everyday player the season will be over and it could happen before June.

The same could be said for the Jays against Bello, collectively they are 31-99, for a .313 clip, The Sox are helped by Springer being out and his 10-30 against Bello. He better keep people off the bases when Vlad has a bat in his hands, he owns the bum. I played the game over 8.5 strictly on the S.P.'s past performance in this spot. Now that said, how both teams have been hitting makes it a questionable play.

The big question is what version of Bello are we going to see? If he comes in meatball thrower & walking ppl mode, we are done.

I was looking to see if with the change in Manager if Mayer would play against LHP. Apparently not, or at least for today.

Story playing today because he actually has shown up against Lauer in the past, it's the only reason I  would play him if I could make out the lineup. I think it is a mistake to not have Mayer in the lineup.

There is a good version?

1-In 25 ABs against Lauer, Story has 3 HRs and 10 RBIs.  Projected over 600 ABs, that 72 HRs and 240 RBIs.

2-While I agree with giving Mayer more ABs against lefties, he still has a .556 OPS against them.

3-While anything can happen, for the most part, there aren't any good reasons not to stack the lineup with righties.

You are taking into consideration vintage Story numbers. He's a complete different player now. Right now he can't hit to save his life nor I can trust his glove anymore.

Said that hopefully what you are saying works out and could serve as bounce back point, but I see it very very unlikely.

BTW old site was waaaaayyyyyyy better. Way! This one has a lot of technical issues. For instance I have to post twice everytime. It's getting annoying.

Bello is my least favorite starting pitcher right now.

I am extremely pleased that we drafted plethora of pitchers. Time to unleash them.

You would think Bello would pitch better with Cora gone.

TBH, I'd more more concerned about starting IKF, but it's impossible to know if the RS have a rotation set up, rest days, an effort to get everyone at least some ABs.

Can someone give me a ranked order starters for Sox organization (too lazy to think about). Please do not include Kutter and Sandlin. "I'll believe it when I see them on the mound"

Anthony got an assist from the outfield to end the 3rd, but his arm is a liability.

I'm not all that comfortable with any aspect of his fielding.  Duran might well be better.

Two more years in the minors in development would have been best for Anthony.  Duran is better but he's been here longer.  Only Abreu is competent.
