The Minnesota Twins are playing well. This was not to be expected. Though today, the Sox are getting an unpredictable arm. Abel has great stuff, but struggles to turn it into great results.

Masa, Masa Man. I want to see more Masa Man. Cora says Masa will play the next two games, and RAF Man, and Abreu will sit. I love it when a plan comes together.👍

Samaniego only threw 17 pitches in 2 IP last night? Seems like he's a more valuable arm than Kelly and Watson going forward. Don't see him getting sent back to AAA.

Agree completely on Yoshida.  I still don't like him in LF, but do like him at the plate.

I don't agree with sitting both Rafaela and Abreu.  Let Abreu DH with Anthony in RF, Duran in CF, and Yoshida in LF.

Story and Mayer must switch positions.  It's not just that Story has lost some range.  Mayer's arm is stornger and more reiiable.   Bogaerts played SS and Story 2b in his first season with Boston.

Agree with Brock that starting Grey has risks. He's 36, 5'10", and definitely hittable.

I hardly dare mention this, but so far Grey is 2-0 with an ERA of 2.76 and 16.1 IP.   Tonight will be his 4th start--same as Crochet last night.  However, after tonight, if Grey's form remains good, he will lead the Sox in innings pitched.

I think you missed his point 2x.  I think he was sarcastic when saying he was happy Masa was getting run and its a plan coming together.  I also think he meant that Raf and Abreu will be benched one at a time, next 2 games, not bench both this game and next.

Abreu 1000 OPS

Rafaela 789 OPS

If anything, they need to sit Roman and move him from the leadoff position.

Story's defense has been really bad.

Agree 100%, but Cora for some reason sees things differently.

He's a stupid idiot.

I’ve never been a big Cora supporter, but i wouldn’t go that far. He has to see what doesn’t work, but I think it’s stubbornness more than anything.

We knew the failure to trade an OF'er, this winter was going to lead to some of our best players being forced to the bench, when they are not in need of a rest, and ride the bench.

I'm not a Masa hater. One of the reasons I wanted an OF'er traded was because I thought Yoshida as the DH was not a big step down from some of our OF'er's bats. (He's a better bat than Rafaela. As of now, he might be better than Roman & Duran.)

We "settled on Durbin," who I don't dislike, either. I liked the trade, but wish he held IKF/Monasterio's role or was a Mayer platoon than someone handed Bregman's job. I know I've beaten the dead horse over and over, but I'm happy we got Contreras, but wish we had gotten someone like KMarte, Hoerner or Neto. Okay, if that was unreasonable or unattainable, they maybe BLowe or Donovan. (True, I also mentioned Polanco or Suarez, and they look as bad as Durbin on O.)

On the bright side two much better run New England sports franchises are in the playoffs. The Bruins are up 4-0 in their last game of the season. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year for the Bs. But good management marched out a competitive team.

Also, How and why IKF made this team? Furthermore… how he’s better than Monasterio? This team might not be even mediocre.
