In a rare extended pitching dual, Robbie Ray and Kansas City left-hander Kris Bubic each tossed seven shutout innings in the last game I attended at Oracle Park in San Francisco:

For today's game, we had to settle for standing-room-only tickets.🤨

Unrelated, but a Boston fan and YouTuber offers his thoughts on the spiraling costs of following sports:

That was Story's 92nd K of the season, which is the 5th most in MLB. 98 is the most.

at least he is great in the clubhouse as that is more important than producing offensively

Wasn't that special? 2 more unearned runs.

2 yesterday were decisive.  Getting a tad difficult to brag about the Sox defense.

And now a baserunning error.

You're replying to the wrong guy. I'm glad Devers is gone.

Too bad you're not sharing in the 300million bonanza stuffed into the wallet of a guy you apparently like better.

This ump is a f***ing joke, Toro literally jumped over the glove. And don’t let me start with the strike zone. I’m done with these morons.

Two separate things.  Always good to be "great in the clubhouse," but not a requirement.

Story was a not so good hiring by CB whom nobody else wants.  Good field no hit isn't worth $22M/year.

However, playing Story at SS makes more sense than not playing him.  His OPS in June was .810 coming into this game.

Another weak display of anger by Cora. Terrible call by chUMP.

I thought Toro was miles outside the base path.

Who needs Raffy?  Our DH is just as good as he is.  moonslav is the one saying Yoshida and Ref together wouldn't be as good as Raffy, but they would be close.
