Zero, but he's got a decent glove and range. it's his arm that sucks most. Of course, he doesnt play 1B, until he's shown he can in practice.

I'm fine with just saying FT DH.

Devers arm is stronger than Bregmans

Yes, and that is what I pointed out.

Career Assists/Throwing Errors

1684/66 Devers (951 gms)

1746/49 Bregman (995 gms)

Put Outs/ Fielding Errors (Devers is even worse, here.)

709/75 Devers

702/32 Bregman

All I stated was Devers arm is stronger.  It is.  That's not analogous with him being a better defender, which Bregman clearly is.  But if there's a weak spot in Bregmans defense it's his arm strength.

The first difference is significant, the second is massive.

1.77 assists per game vs 1.75 per game. Devers actually throws out more guys per game than Bregman!

It's those lousy Red Sox pitchers allowing 2/100th more batters to hit grounders to third!

Devers: 3.4 RngR (career Range Runs above average at 3b)

Bregman: -8.1

Remote plays made (1-10% likelihood):

Devers: 2.9

Bregman: 1.4

Even plays made (40-60% likelihood):

Devers: 55.4

Bregman: 49.0

In terms of range, I think Devers would make a good 1Bman. I'm not sure how good he will be at scooping bad throws, but I can't imagine him being a worse 1Bman than Casas.

I hope they hand him a 1Bman's mitt, at some point, this year, and see how he looks and likes it (or not.)

I am very doubtful about Devers at first base.
however, I am very excited about his potential as a full time DH!

1st base - Casas

2nd base - story

SS - Mayer

3rd base - Bergman

C - wong

RF - Anthony

CF - rafeala

LF - Duran

DH - Devers

bench - refsynder, romy, Hamilton and neauvez

DL - yoshida and abreau
