Yesterday was grim if only because it reconfirmed how rotten the Sox hitting has become and the bullpen has continued to be.

The Orioles have beaten the Sox like a drum this season except the 4 game series 3+ weeks ago in Baltimore which ended at 2 games apiece.

Yesterday also confirmed that the 2024 season is over with respect to making a rush to the WC finish line. If that was to be accomplished, it needed to start 2 weeks ago.

The bats may yet heat up and recover from their swoon, but there is no saving this dog ass bullpen .  And save the electrons telling me Kelly's stats.   If he is our most productive, safest bet in the BP, then it is beyond OVER.

Also getting very close to trashing Chris Martin as a competitor.   Mental problems through yesterday's "illness" .  Go home Chris, you're fully baked now.

Abreu/Yoshida sitting against the LHP

Casas probably should be in, but maybe they are going to start taking it easy on him down the stretch. No real split concerns with him.

Casas hasn’t been doing much with bat lately anyway no matter what side of the rubber they throw from?

I hope all these good boys talk to this beat guy if they lose tonight and don't make him stay an extra hour!

Na you’ll just get the same old story from Cora on how the team just has to do better that he has on playback for the last three years now.

Just pleasedd as punch with the Sox starters , other than Criswell, who think it is part of the deal to fall behind in the first inning.  Bello  does it often.

Play from behind.  Feels better when you finally win.

Anything that keeps OB from telling me that some player or another is batting 1000 with with a monster OPS for that last 5 games is fine by me.

A few games ago, the Sox booth crew finally gave up. Their broadcasts are almost blissful as a result.

Wong saves Gonzalez from looking like the inexperienced guy he is on that grounder and subsequent spineroo. throw.

Hard to argue with O'Neill's HR total but he will play about 2/3rds the games this year, and was MIA with his bat for a long while

Bello is a mindless thrower of the ball. No command, no control, hitting 85 pitches in the 4th inning.

It would be truly pointless to make the WC since the Sox pitching cannot bear down when needed.

You’ve got nothing to worry about

I like that Cora made him get out of that self-induced mess himself.   You got yourself into this, get out of it.

Caretaker fund + ads?

Am I the only one seeing these ads?

I get the impression that if you subscribe, you are exempt from the ads.    They are  annoying but so is all advertising.

Someone needs to pay for all this action

The bats have come alive.  Baltimore thought it could steal a game with a mediocre LH'er pitching for them.  Not tonight Birds.

Orioles are in a funk that would drive any fan nuts.  Maybe Red Sox should just sweep them for 4 and kiss the O's goodbye

He's missing on his pitches, but he is not mindless.  It's possible you are however.

Astonishing game, completely unpredictable.  Terrific win for the Sox, especially because of the hitting and 12 runs scored.
