But they weren't going good--unless you think the Jays 5 runs in the 8th were good for the Sox. How about the 2 errors by the Sox, also good?

 

But I do agree it's been rare this season for the Sox to absolutely blow a lead and come back like this.

Blue Jays truly blew it. Red Sox have stopped doing that . It makes a huge difference. Going down 6-2 after CI, error and a s***** reliever would have sunk our guys last year or maybe even in April '24

You do know that in one of the Yankees games Jansen called Cora from the bullpen in the 8th inning and asked/told Cora to put him in the game. He got a 4 out save.

 

It is possible that game inspired the whole team and that Jansen himself is inspired.

The 5 runs in the 8th by the Jays had something to do with bad planning by the Red Sox brain trust using an opener, and using up the BP yesterday and that lead to the call up of the likes of Campbell. Errors by the Red Sox IF is nothing new either.

I’m not a fan of trading Kenley. This team is competing and playing hard, despite so many injuries. I think a big part of that is having a great clubhouse and Kenley has always been a good club house guy and veteran leader. I’m a big fan of him and there is a reason he’s a future hall of famer
