It will be a fine performance I'm sure. It's what they pay him for.

Breslow's favorite song is "Lose Yourself." He better come out to it in the press conference.

Breslow is good friends with Andrew Bailey, who now has inside track on pitching coach gig.

He can teach pitchers how to get injured!!

I just hope he doesn’t say things are going to be AWESOME.

What if he says they'll be "pawesome" like a talking dog would?

Bailey didn't seem to get much out of the SF guys. Breslow is a "push velo" guy. We'll see if the combo works?

Hey, he was a pretty important contributor to the 2013 banner.

We also know that the Cubs FO has a lot of Red Sox DNA - so hopefully the transition here is smooth. And of course, if he can establish a high level run prevention operation it's worth it.

The 84 win Diamondbacks are going to the WS largely because of their pitching.

Here are the '23 playoff ERAs of the top AZ pitchers by IP:

5.24 Gallen (22 IP)

2.65 Kelly (17)

2.70 Pfaadt (17)

2.53 Thompson (11)

0.00 Ginkel (9)

0.00 Sewald (8)

These guys sure turned it around, except for their ace.

Gallen did have 2 good games in the earlier rounds, but the Phillies knocked him around some.

Thompson, who has pitched more postseason relief innings than any other D-back... was DFAed by Tampa... in mid-August?

And signed by Zona -- INSTEAD OF BOSTON -- three days later...

THIS is why Bloom was fired!

What's with all the C-B's and B-C's?

Ben Cherrington

Chaim Bloom

Craig Breslow

Even with Dave Dombrowski, we never seem to get past our A-B-C-D's.

Also, Dan Duquette, broken up by Theo Epstein as the exception.

After being out, and about this afternoon, and after talking with other fans, and listening to other venues the majority of opinions on Breslow was take him, or leave him, and not very strong at that. The biggest concern seems to be that he has never been close to being in charge before, and getting someone who has, and more experienced would have been a better option. Of course all of those wouldn’t even interview. I’m all for giving him a chance, and he’s got to be better than Bloom. Let’s get the WS over with, and let’s see what Breslow can do.

He has no more experience than Bloom did. In fact, he hs less.

I'm just curious why you have a different opinion right off the bat.

Theo's name was really Beo Cepstein, but he changed it to break the cycle.!
