You can stick to your assessment all you want, but it’s 100% wrong. I’ve told you before too that I’m not a cheerleader, and wave the Pom Poms either. To me it’s gotten harder to watch the Red Sox from what I consider not as good talent throughout MLB as there used to be, a bad product on the field, and listening to the YUCKERS in the NESN booth.By the way I would have no problem admitting I stopped watching the Red Sox, because they were winning as far fetched as that would be, and that would be far fetched. I wouldn’t waste my time to sit there after the things I’ve mentioned just to watch the Red Sox lose. Only you would come up with that explanation. Sherlock you’re not.

I guess it’s only okay for you to get most of your assessments of me wrong.

Saying I hated Cora, because I wouldn’t have rehired him, and I stopped watching the Red Sox, because they were winning was so far fetched they even wasn’t out in La La land, and that’s hard to do. Big difference. You saying you wasn’t a Bloom guy I don’t believe anyone else believed that either. Big difference.

You think that was your only lie about my positions? lol.

I apologised several times for twisting your words into hating Cora. You have never once apologised, and even double and triple down.

Yes big difference. We agree on that.

I’ll do everyone a favor and put Red on ignore, again.

I’ll even avoid responding to things he says on other poster’s responses.

I apologise for my part in putting you all through this.

There wasn’t any words to twist for you to JUMP to a far fetched CONCLUSION that I hated Cora. All I said was i wouldn’t have rehired him due to what I felt was over the top participation in the cheating scandal. I also said I wouldn’t have hired any coach, or manager who did the same thing, and I mentioned Red with the Celtics, and the Hoodie with the Pats, and any coach at Notre Dame. There wasn’t any words to twist, but you did it, because that’s who you are. The Great Oz after the curtain gets pulled back. A legend in your own mind, but nothing, but a phony baloney"

Seeing how long moon can keep Red on ignore might be a more interesting story than the Red Sox offseason.

And with a straight face he said he is so, so sorry to everyone. Just like with a straight face he said he wasn’t a Bloom guy.

I'm not sure how he was a Bloom guy. Nobody hated the trade for JBJ more than moon did.

On a baseball note it seems the Yankees are going after Monty, which considering they traded him for not a lot would now pay a lot more for him especially that if they had just kept him could have extended him for a lot less. Don’t know if Monty wants the Yankees though.

I don’t think that would be a telltale. Moon complained about Bloom plenty, but he also went to his defense at the drop of a hat more than anyone. Called it Bloom Bashing. Kind of like Moon is doing now with all of Baseball ops, and poor JH. Sham, sham, sham is bashing.

I have little doubt Monty would return to the Yanks if the price is right.

I don’t think calling it a head scratcher was hating the trade more than everyone else, and he was late to the party after 700, and myself chimed in.

The Yankees supposedly want Hader too, but right now the rumor mill on Snell, and Monty are pretty quiet.

We know that the Yankees put $300 mill on the table for Moto, so more than likely they have more spending to do.

True on the Yam Man, but he was a special case, and I don’t know if that means they will spend all that money elsewhere.

The Yanks will be paying tax for the third straight year in 2024. Seems like they have joined the Mets and the Dodgers in the club of teams that have decided not to worry about the penalties.

That’s true, but I’d be surprised if they resign Soto to $400M+. Hell the Dodgers might as well go full throttle, and sign Soto too.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the Yanks reset in the next year or two, but the Mets and Dodgers, no.

It won't surprise me if the Yanks don't reset, either. They're obviously prepared to have a sky-high payroll this year. Moto would have put them well over the $300 mill mark.

Judge, Cole, Rodon and Stanton (total AAV $125 mill) are on the books for a while yet, and they were going to add Moto to that list.

They’ve got DJ at $15M per for the next 3 years too.

It does look like “Soto” will be added to their list, but don’t count out the Mets or Dodgers, if he makes it to free agency.

Let’s see how going over for more than 3 years starts affecting their farms.

It will affect their farms. But they've clearly made a calculation that the benefits of spending outweigh the penalties.

John Henry isn't buying the idea, obviously.

The Red Sox saved probably half a billion dollars by not extending Mookie or Xander, and even a few bucks getting rid of Price, telling Eovaldi he was too late to return, and being used by Eflin.

Rumor even has it Boston offered hundreds of millions more to Yamamoto...

Now they have all that stored-up operating capital to reinvest in other top talent to make a run at another world championship!

It's been 4 years and almost a month since the last time the Red Sox signed a starting pitcher for more than $10 mill.

The rumored offer to the Yam Man was also incentive laden, so not really the same offer as the big boys, and they never got a second meeting, so i wouldn’t put to much into the offer. Top talent has gotten a lot more expensive too. Bogey at $280M was even beyond speculations, so I’m not so sure JH wants to be a High roller anymore, or even play with them.

It should, if they spend wisely.

And that was an extension, right?
